Banging my head against the wall on this one. What am I missing? Dolly Parton won’t flip. All other coils work fine, no other known issues.

Good voltage to coil and works when jumpering coil lug to ground, so EOS works too. So not a power issue.

Solenoid driver board has continuity through the flipper relay during a game. Ground connection is good at rectifier board. Bypassing flipper cabinet switches with a jumper does nothing. Jumpering flipper cabinet switch to ground does nothing.

Replaced contacts on J1 and J2 connectors, no change.

Quoted from Xenon75:

Does the flipper relay click during the boot process?

I believe so, but will verify. The alltek SDB shows the drive status of the controlling transistor as good (green).

Quoted from Xenon75:

Should also click on/off during the solenoid test.

It does.

I should clarify, I’m trying to help Deadcatch on this issue, it’s his game.

It’s an Alltek driver board, so no modifications are needed. We are testing and few other things and might be making progress, will report back.

Turned out to be a bad ground connection on the rectifier board on J2-9 (flipper switch return), grounding this pin corrected the issue. Brand new rectifier board, will check header pin and traces. Thanks!

Quoted from Arcane:

Okay, we are all glad that this solution is working for you. However, there is no "ground" connections to the Flippers on the Solenoid Board. You have simply bypassed a bad wiring located further down the chain.
As long as it works, everybody is happy!!!
Yves

The issue was not on the SDB, but the rectifier board, which has many ground connnections, including flipper cabinet switch return (J2-9) which is where the issue was.
