Today's CL post. Guy wants $850 for this PinBot. Let's see....cabinet is pretty shot, playfield has wear on it, he mentions that the boards had acid damage....

#2 11 years ago

He must have forgotten his web site link (same phone number)

http://pinballrepair.weebly.com/

That machine looks pretty rough and you would need a tetanus shot before touching it.

#3 11 years ago

At least he put new legs on it...

#4 11 years ago

Maybe he will even put in a new ball!

Nah...I'm dreaming....

#5 11 years ago

OMG! horrible playfield touchups, that front looks like it was torched or he used flat black paint. I really hope that's a negotiable price :-0

#6 11 years ago

On the bright side, at least there are some new rubbers on it :p

#7 11 years ago

Ans the spiral ramp looks nice!

I don't know. Doesn't look that bad for only..................$850?
O.K., that's bad for $850.

I love ads where they tell you how cheap and easy it would be to fix all the stuff that's wrong.
If it's that cheap and easy, FIX IT. Then sell.

I think the front of the cabinet was flame polished.

I'm almost tempted to drop him a note and offer him $100 and just see what he says. Wonder if he's actually negotiable or if he's going to paint it like it's a steal and he really shouldnt even let it go for that price....

#11 11 years ago

I actually dropped the guy a note. Small world, I had reached out and spoken with him a few months back trying to troubleshoot a Xenon problem. He's a decent enough guy and spent a lot of time trying to help me over the phone. If I recall he's doing this just for fun and really specializes in older games.
On the flip side, he didn't want to give much in price. Said he might come down a bit, but if it doesn't sell, he will put in a new set of displays and should 'have no problem getting $1100" for it...

If he gets $1100 for that machine with a new set of displays I think I'm in the wrong business!

There was a Pinbot about 6 month ago in CNY on CL with big chuncks of wood off the front..sitting outside under a tent of some kind for $350. I bet this is the one

#13 11 years ago

That is one fugly pinbot.

#14 11 years ago

not "fugly"

"customized and unique"

Come on...you know you want it...it's worth spending $400 for NAVL to ship it!

I wouldn't even spend the money on a can of air to clean it if he dropped it off for free!
