Quoted from robx46:I picked up a CV recently & the ringmaster wasn't working quite right, wasn't ending up where he should. Switches are confirmed to be all good. Couple days later he is barely moving at all. I purchased a brand new motor & gearbox assuming that would fix the problem but it didn't!
Seems to me I might be getting a 12v drop that is causing this? The LED light on the motor driver board does go dim when the motor runs or tries to run. I don't think it is that board because I'm reading similar voltage drops on the voltage coming into the board as well.
Just put in a new cap for C8 (the 12v section of power driver board). Still no change. Any tips? I did quite a bit of searching & never came across anybody having this exact issue. If not a cap, what else could cause a voltage drop if indeed that is what it is?
Thanks!
I once had a BSD with all sorts of opto problems. Turns out my 12 VDC was quite low. Ended up being a partially failed bridge rectifier.
