Yea, as said, the pin is peened and falls off. My CV I bought new did it within 2000 games of new. There is a way to secure the pins. Mine were not lost, had just come loose from the bracket. Find a junked VCR, DVD player ect that uses some small screws with relatively large heads and simply drill into the pin in appropriate size, tighten a screw into it to hold the pin to the bracket.I did both mine back 18yrs ago or so, and no further problems. If you buy a new bracket with the pin peened on, it is still most likely going to come loose quickly.
Hardware stores normally stock small screws as well, but the heads are usually too small. Can use a small washer.
