Holy wall of text Batman!
How about some punctuation?

-2
#3 1 year ago

Geez, man. That's the only comment you have? Punctuation police!

And ... since you started it ... you failed to put a comma between "text" and "Batman." It should have read: "Holy wall of text, Batman!"

Be better: if you're going to harp on another for punctuation (for some odd reason), perhaps edit your post very carefully before hitting "send." That way you avoid the irony of misusing it yourself while trying to school another (again, for some odd reason).

Gorgeous game, friend - someone is going to get a beauty of a machine!

Well, since you asked, it's also overpriced.

Needs more pictures
Well done restore....GLWS

#6 1 year ago

You need to fix this if you want top dollar, in my opinion.

What do you mean the carriage bolts have been “glassed”? Nice machine!

#8 1 year ago

I mean maybe there is something wrong with the ad but 119 pics? Way too many duplicate pics in the ad. Way too overzealous about the post too. I'm getting so tired of the over priced pins and I could care less about how how many hours invested and much money people waste on new parts and restorations. Enough already, it's a pinball machine!

Did you paint the tilt Bob?

Hopefully it is conductive paint..

Conductive to a big sell price!

#12 1 year ago

Where is the pic of the backbox white plastic? Most are cracked or repaired.

#13 1 year ago
Quoted from noopy:

Likely means that when the RadCals were installed, they were just installed right over any bolts on the cabinet. I'm not a fan of this approach, because it hinders serviceability down the road.

Not to add too much to the mayhem, but I'd get those old style protectors off from behind the legs before they ruin those new decals and put some metal stern ones on.

#15 1 year ago

Brand new Pinside account, first and only post...

None of this matters, not like the person who buys this is really interested in playing the game anway.

I also hate this stupid fucking phrase "better than new". If you had the ability to get a cabinet that just rolled off the factory floor today, or this cabinet, you're gonna pick the one that rolled off the factory floor. BLWTS

#17 1 year ago

So it is better than new and shitloads of new parts and top dollar as well but you left the original dmd in it? Seriously man why not pony up $350 more and get a color dmd then maybe then I could see how the price would be spot on!

#18 1 year ago

Then it would be $15,000 ...

#19 1 year ago

I play at least 4 test games before I buy. Is that ok?

Well, in all fairness, ColorDMDs are sold out across the board.

Is that a mirco playfield?

Looks to original with this and the other issue that was pointed out earlier

WTF are those “Leg protectors” doing on there?!?!? Get them off immediately. Those were only for older games to cover up damage, those will ruin the new decals.

Wish I had said that 8 posts ago!

#25 1 year ago

Well....without a photo of the leg levelers I just don't see how I can pull the trigger on this.

#26 1 year ago

Jeez Louise it still has AA batteries on the board too? For the amount of money, time and effort spent on this machine invest a couple of bucks and install NVRAM or at least a remote battery holder.

They're AA lithium batteries, not AAA. I've never had one leak in about 30 of my games, but I do get your concern.

Rad cals are plastic no? Think hardtops for cabinet art.

Chuck you doin Primus in Louisville on 5/30?

Nope. You?

#33 1 year ago
Quoted from Billy16:

Well....without a photo of the leg levelers I just don't see how I can pull the trigger on this.

How can I really feel confident in a purchase if I haven't seen 3 pictures of the power cord?

Also looks like the price is dropping fast! I think it was $14500 to start, then $14000, now $13000. At this rate of ~$1500/day change, assuming the trend continues, we might have a reasonably priced game at the middle of the week.

#34 1 year ago

Anybody who does buy, take that heavy bell out of the backbox before moving
you cannot hear it anyway

#35 1 year ago

Just fyi using the term "High End Pin" can be very misleading on these forums unless the pin is in fact one of Chris Hutchins from HEP.

Nice pin though and as somebody else suggested if you found a color dmd to install you may have better luck getting your asking price.

#36 1 year ago
Quoted from WolfManCat:

Yeahhhh. Dude just placed foot in mouth (even more) with this title change.
I assume this will be followed by Chris doing a restoration on hitwhatslit himself, with the first teardown step obviously being "head is removed from body."

Quoted from galore2112:

That's awkward

#38 1 year ago

I'd like High_End_Pins to come in and verify this is truly one of his masterpieces or if the OP should change the title.

If he changes it to High Class Pinball, he better have a lawyer on retainer.

If it said HEP restored CV I would agree. But it’s clear they are not representing this as a HEP game.

And an uninformed member most likely has no idea who HEP is.

That's fair. Updating my original conclusion.
