I think also that there is something going on in the background.
For my own project I contacted CMG several times and yes, communication is a pia. They really have to work on it, also if the machines are available. Than people need informations, maybe support, etc ... there is a big lack. However ... *IF* I got contact it was always nice and helpfull but only around 20% of my mails were answered.
Why do I think there is something going on ?!

In this partshop under "new parts" are all needet cables for pinballmachines for sale. I am sure that they ordered larger ammounts of different cables and contemporaneous sell them in the shop.
So meanwhile I work on my own KP
