Has anybody bought or sold one of these lately? I have a nice example, but need to make room and this is one of the machines on the bubble.
I don't see anything on the current or archive sales on PinSide and the only thing on eBay was a bg that sold for 575 !
Thanks
Agent_Hero Your BG looks to be in very nice shape, especially for Circus. I agree with you this game is great! Fantastic art, great variety, challenging shots all on a super wide PF!! Yeah the sounds were 80's but I have to say I like the little Circus diddy it plays.
Last one I know of that sold went for $1,800.00 but it did not appear to have as nice of a BG as this.

It's pretty good--there's a bit of flaking around the clown's mouth that is under the player 4 score. Not much fade on the cabinet either, just a bit of patina here and there. I still enjoy it as a nice change of pace to the newer games I have. I put a powerball in it and that's fun for a bit, but I feel like I sacrifice a soft hit not registering on the vari-target once in a while that would be more likely to register with a standard pinball.
Since that picture was taken, I added the green plastic lane guide that is missing up top and swapped in all new drop targets since clown #3 bit the dust (pre-powerball insertion).
Here's a link to mine.

The boards were just reworked and gone through - so it's solid.
The bg had some touchup - from the back appears rough, but from the rough it's pretty nice. And it's stable.
They only made 2300, so hard to tell how many survived from that era. Plus, you don't see them often and even more rare to see for sale.
The people interested in this title is probably small, so hard to tell.
I think I'd ask at least 2k for mine.
I saw a BG that sold on eBay for almost $600 !
Plus I have the warranty paperwork - well, most of it anyway

I have that same package in mine, warranty and manual with a small intro print out.
Just saw this thread for the first time. I've been an avid sys 1 & 80 collector
from day 1 in this hobby starting off with Spiderman (35 years ago).
I've had three Circus pins and kept the nicest one (all were pretty nice).
My faves of these series are; Black Hole, Sinbad, Spiderman and Mars:GOW.
Circus is a nice pin with killer artwork but being one of the ultra wide
Gottliebs, I find game play to be on the slowish side. But mine will never
go away.

Hello. in 2020 I picked up a project Circus pinball in Fairfield California a week before the owner had a close call with that 3rd biggest fire in state history.
Just curious before I try and join the Circus club if anyone has a line on playfield plastics or any of the games hardware, drop down target bank, etc...?
I picked it up just because I have been a fan of the artwork for 15 years. Someday I will have it up and running alongside a few more widebody pins.
I have a Pinbot, Swords of Fury, and a Twister all in working condition. Well, Pinbot needs some debugging on the Sun target switch circuit I will get to.
You can get the majority of your parts, plastics etc. at PBResource.com. Steve will take care of you

That's sacrilege get those babies out! When you get settled post a few pic's of the BG and PF's. I love the early 80's Gottlieb's but Circus and BH are my favs
Quoted from RWH:Both beautiful pins! The first (your old) has the nicest BG I've ever seen
Thank you! To be honest original BG had a bit of flaking (around clown in lower right). I backlit sections with colors which helps.
The new machine in CQ w/ BG, PF, and Cabinet being mint. Stayed w/ original shop of traditional bulbs / color from previous owner and prefer over the colors. Very fortunate to have this machine.
