    Looks proper to me.

Hey, nice 4 Bagger. I love mine.

Yeah, I don't mind the cigarette burns. It just shows a bit of the games history.

    #4 3 years ago

The people who left those burns probably died from lung cancer long ago

    #5 3 years ago

    Maybe not?

    OldGuySmoking_(resized).jpg

    #6 3 years ago

I agree. Left mine on my Williams 57 Deluxe.

Edit: Not MY burns. The ones that came with the game.

If that was a new guitar, they would charge you $1500 for the burns and call it a 'Relic'....

    #8 3 years ago

I kind of like them...tells a great story and a history of pinball!

    #9 3 years ago

I love the character of old machines. It's all part of the history.

    #10 3 years ago

No arcade is complete without one of these.

That's a nice cigarette machine. Just think of all those people who admired themselves in the mirror who later died of lung cancer!

    #12 3 years ago

Makes me want to frikkin smoke again like the old days.

    Quoted from Electrocute:

Lot of them looked awesome for awhile though

Nothing like a 25 cent pack if smokes, even if they are 40 years old.

My old man told me Lucky Strike won the war.

    #16 3 years ago

I used to have a ton of character from spilling paint in the garage

    #17 3 years ago

Looks like that piece of wood is an easy replacement.

    #18 3 years ago

It's about as awesome as a smoker's cough.

    #19 3 years ago

The guys with no EMs think it looks terrible. Maybe you should powder coat it.

Hey thanks. It's a fun game. I'm kind of surprised that pinside doesn't recognize "4 bagger" as a game though. Nor do they recognize "Line Drive".

If anybody ever beats that score on Serenade another one will be scribed in.

    #24 3 years ago

Definately adds character - signature of another time.

Great thread, love that vintage stuff!

Just remember, everyone that doesn't smoke still dies anyway.

    #27 3 years ago
    Quoted from o-din:

Would the person that beats that score be able to take the pin home with them?

    #28 3 years ago

i hate hate cig burns. imagine the second hand smoke in those places, i was young and stupid.

    #29 3 years ago
    Quoted from Darcy:

Would the person that beats that score be able to take the pin home with them?

No, but I would fix them a drink or something to smoke if that's what they prefer.

    Quoted from tk-the-jammer:

    That's what she said.

    #31 3 years ago

Nothing about cigarettes adds character to anythinkg. As someone exposed to way too much second hand smoke as a kid, who absolutely detests anything to do with smoking, and had to watch his father die with his miserable habit being a part of what caused that, I'd sand that crap off there in a New York minute.

Not all history is worth saving.

Very nice game. Yes, I think the only Pitch and Bat that I've seen in the archive is Slugfest.

1962 World Series is there too. How do we get the others in the archive?

Oh cool, it looks like the 51 Super World Series is in there too. As well as 1957 Deluxe Baseball and 1955 Big League (Chi Coin). That's a nice start. I'm not sure how these get added?

The burns on plastic is not appealing. On the old wood rail games, I think it is.

    #37 3 years ago

most of mine have healed. Im not sure they gave me much character. The pins however...

Cigarettes killed millions and that tar they left behind on the cabinets isn't appealing to me . I never smoked but my entire family did.
But I'm the one who got cancer .. They didn't . I stopped eating natural foods because I heard people were dying of natural causes

    #41 3 years ago

I will celebrate my 7th anniversary of quitting smoking next Valentines Day!

... but this is pretty neat device. New to me. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I shined up the ashtrays on my Straight Shooter!

No smoking in the house but they're definitely staying, for history's sake!

Sorry, 'before' pic of my project.

The cig burns were complaints with the game owners. The stainless rails were the solution for letting the new pin look newer, longer.

I think these add character to my United Bowing Alley Im guessing there were probably pins on either side of it at one time and it made a good resting place

Those would be butt holders, not ashtrays! Nice work getting them shiny again.
