Does anyone have any experience with people playing pins with chrome lockdown bars?
I got a chrome lockdown bar, but was wondering how they stand up to human traffic.
How durable are they against scratches or do I need to put the unchromed bars back on for
    get togethers?

Make sure everyone takes their rings off and you should be ok.

I have had a number of lockdown bars chromed (triple chrome plated) and have not had any real problems at all. I do use wizard chrome polish to keep them nice and shiny.

Mirror polishing the stainless works well it looks like chrome and can be re-polished if needed.

If done right, they are as durable as the original. I wouldn't worry at all. I have several machines with gold, chrome, and even powder coating.

I had a game all chromed out. I ended up doing new decals on it and in the process, de-chromed it. It drove me nuts wiping fingerprints off all the time!0
