I am restoring a Crosstown machine and want to paint the upper apron pieces to make them look better. They look to be plated nickel or chrome. Has anyone found a spray paint that provides a similar look and is durable enough to wax. I’ve tried a couple cans that claim a chrome look and although they look good, they turn a nasty grey if I wax or clear coat them. I’m also trying to find something similar for the brass plated pieces. Any thoughts?
