I have one pit ticket for Iron Maiden tomorrow night. I paid $120. Will sell for $80. Just Lemmy know, thanks.

Nice! 2 of my coworkers are going tonight also....the Chicago 'cooler by the lake' effect should help cool some of those hot tempers....lol

Ah- I checked out an estate sale back in april that had a super nice FT and a dead Pokerino.....

Quoted from dudah:

Oh nice, I forgot about estate sales. How much were they asking for FT?

4K on the FT.......it was super clean.......but not for that price.....they had a DOA Pokerino also.....If I remember correctly, the house was in Gurnee.....

Lots of action on the Chicago thread, nice! I'll add a few machines I am looking to sell/trade to shake up the collection a bit.
Roadshow: $3200. Overall in VERY nice shape, no fish wear. Some USA insert edges cracking/flaking.
Whirlwind: $2500. Full led, 7/10 condition wise. Has some playfield and cabinet wear. Ramp repair at ramp lift. Game plays great otherwise.
South Park: $3000. Extremely clean example. No flipper button wear. Could use a shop.
Pinbot: $1750. Very nice condition overall. Could use a shop. Needs lower credit display($63 at PBL)

You have some of these of FB, right? Nice clean looking machines!

Anyone got a cheap EM that needs some work for sale? I want to go to that EM repair class Nic (-who did the whole big tour)is having here in Chicagoland... thanks Dan

Dan- I don't have an EM either, so Nic will be looking at one of my SS games......

Workshop is at my work's warehouse right off I-355 & I-88 in Downers Grove. Last I spoke with Nic- he still has room for a few more peeps!

dirty pinball at gameworks schaumburg? Just get right outta town

I really think some OP's don't give a rats azz about game maintenance. Went to a birthday party at the Tivoli Bowl in Downers Grove and was excited to see that they had a good sized game room with 4 pins. The POTC was the most disgustingly dirty playfield I've ever seen. Kickers above flippers weren't working.....and the super bright halogen light right above the game didn't improve game play any. Took a pic to send the OP, but haven't found out who it is yet....

I posted pictures tonight on my facebook page of about 20 or so pins that i now have available, and possibly will be delivering some to the Chicago area for a reasonable fee

if this post isn't allowed, my apologies, but I'm just not making 20 different ads on here currently

I'd like to see a list of games and prices also.

Quoted from vidgameseller:

badbilly27 Thanks for the kind words. As i said in my original post, I wasn't sure if it was allowed, so i even apologized in advance. So that the link was removed is no big deal. Not sure if there is another way to put the list on here since several are over the 3k mark that requires separate ads, if there is, someone tell me without spending hours making 30 or so different ads

Lots of pins exchange hands within participants of this thread!

I might have missed it but I didn't see any prices on your FB post either........youre not that far of a drive from Chi town.....

They have over 600+ games now.

For me-its like stepping back in time to the late 70's....walking into an arcade full of machines!

#6510 1 year ago

I took nicovolta there during his North American tour and introduced him to Doc.

Nic was impressed with some of the rare titles Doc has there.

I would love to know what Galloping Ghost's electric bill is each month. That place is insane.
Can't wait for the pinball room.. they used to have more pins in the back but they were all in disrepair. When I asked about that they said they really didn't have anyone on staff that knew how to fix them so they got neglected and eventually pulled out. Hopefully now with the proper expansion they will get the right people to keep them clean and up and running.
If you're in that area though for Galloping Ghost and want a pinball fix, I definitely recommend Brixies which is close by. They keep their machines in perfect shape and have a nice selection they rotate in and out. (plus a killer beer selection).

It does get 'steamy' in there during the summer with all those machines running.

I usually take a 'beverage' break when im at the ghost and head to Brixies.

Can any one recommend a reliable tech who services the western suburbs? Not to be offensive, but some one who will actually schedule time to come out and do work. Seems like no one wants to come out here.
This is for my bro-in-law. He has a Strange Science he wants heavily shopped, LEDs, Remote battery, flippers rebuilt, and there were some left over mods from a previous owner he wanted input on hooking up possibly. Whatever else you recommend as well. He has cash and is ready to schedule some one to come out. We are both out near Waubonsie High School off Eola Road for reference. He is looking for an in-house tech to come work. The game is a PITA to get into his office on the second floor. You wont want to move it, trust me.
He has contacted a few guys who I have heard (and told him) are solid, and they respond once and then never schedule him. Hes very frustrated, and I can understand why. I would help him do the work, but I have my own games to manage and I have a baby incoming any day now. Any help is appreciated.

Gavin's game service.

He's in Scahaumburg. Had him come out a few weeks ago and he did an excellent job. He worked so fast, carries replacement parts on his truck, it was amazing to watch.....flipper rebuild on my FT , some board work on my EK for the chimes, more board work on my Gorgar….. getting ready to have him come out again. Highly recommended. He's usually very busy, but hell get er done.

Nice gesture! I donated my daughters Dora's kitchen set to an underprivileged family via the Firebelly foundation. I actually volunteered with my daughter at the event...the look on the girls faces that took it home was priceless.....my daughter noticed that also....life lesson.....

It took Gavin a while to set up an appointment, but the wait was worth it..hope he didn't mind me picking his brain while he was working...lol

I've been eyeing that No Fear for a while also.....hes dropped the price a couple times already (think it was originally listed at $3000??). Just haven't been able to convince myself to make another road trip to St Louis (that's were I got my FT).

I thought the same thing!

Every estate sale is different.... they want you to show up-ive had my offer accepted on the first day (got an EK & a BW 100-they must have liked the motorcycle theme), although on the first day they usually want full price...and they wont tell you what that is until the sale starts......theyre hit or miss....

Laser Cue is the shit! The artwork is insane. Someone must've been high as hell when they came up with space Vikings playing pool on a round metal table. Just insanity. The layout is a fun shooter, and the combination of the scissor flippers at the bottom, and the upper flipper makes it an exciting game.
I rebuilt all the flippers on mine and it plays great now.

Some times I wonder how much pinball art was conceived 'under the influence'...….lol
