I have one pit ticket for Iron Maiden tomorrow night. I paid $120. Will sell for $80. Just Lemmy know, thanks.

Nice! 2 of my coworkers are going tonight also....the Chicago 'cooler by the lake' effect should help cool some of those hot tempers....lol

Lots of action on the Chicago thread, nice! I'll add a few machines I am looking to sell/trade to shake up the collection a bit.
Roadshow: $3200. Overall in VERY nice shape, no fish wear. Some USA insert edges cracking/flaking.
Whirlwind: $2500. Full led, 7/10 condition wise. Has some playfield and cabinet wear. Ramp repair at ramp lift. Game plays great otherwise.
South Park: $3000. Extremely clean example. No flipper button wear. Could use a shop.
Pinbot: $1750. Very nice condition overall. Could use a shop. Needs lower credit display($63 at PBL)

You have some of these of FB, right? Nice clean looking machines!

Dan- I don't have an EM either, so Nic will be looking at one of my SS games......

dirty pinball at gameworks schaumburg? Just get right outta town
https://www.pinballnews.com/site/2017/08/31/gameworks-schaumburg/

I really think some OP's don't give a rats azz about game maintenance. Went to a birthday party at the Tivoli Bowl in Downers Grove and was excited to see that they had a good sized game room with 4 pins. The POTC was the most disgustingly dirty playfield I've ever seen. Kickers above flippers weren't working.....and the super bright halogen light right above the game didn't improve game play any. Took a pic to send the OP, but haven't found out who it is yet....

I would love to know what Galloping Ghost's electric bill is each month. That place is insane.
Can't wait for the pinball room.. they used to have more pins in the back but they were all in disrepair. When I asked about that they said they really didn't have anyone on staff that knew how to fix them so they got neglected and eventually pulled out. Hopefully now with the proper expansion they will get the right people to keep them clean and up and running.
If you're in that area though for Galloping Ghost and want a pinball fix, I definitely recommend Brixies which is close by. They keep their machines in perfect shape and have a nice selection they rotate in and out. (plus a killer beer selection).

It does get 'steamy' in there during the summer with all those machines running.

I usually take a 'beverage' break when im at the ghost and head to Brixies.

Quoted from Chitownpinball:

Can any one recommend a reliable tech who services the western suburbs? Not to be offensive, but some one who will actually schedule time to come out and do work. Seems like no one wants to come out here.
This is for my bro-in-law. He has a Strange Science he wants heavily shopped, LEDs, Remote battery, flippers rebuilt, and there were some left over mods from a previous owner he wanted input on hooking up possibly. Whatever else you recommend as well. He has cash and is ready to schedule some one to come out. We are both out near Waubonsie High School off Eola Road for reference. He is looking for an in-house tech to come work. The game is a PITA to get into his office on the second floor. You wont want to move it, trust me.
He has contacted a few guys who I have heard (and told him) are solid, and they respond once and then never schedule him. Hes very frustrated, and I can understand why. I would help him do the work, but I have my own games to manage and I have a baby incoming any day now. Any help is appreciated.

Gavin's game service.

https://www.facebook.com/GavinsGameService/

He's in Scahaumburg. Had him come out a few weeks ago and he did an excellent job. He worked so fast, carries replacement parts on his truck, it was amazing to watch.....flipper rebuild on my FT , some board work on my EK for the chimes, more board work on my Gorgar….. getting ready to have him come out again. Highly recommended. He's usually very busy, but hell get er done.

Laser Cue is the shit! The artwork is insane. Someone must've been high as hell when they came up with space Vikings playing pool on a round metal table. Just insanity. The layout is a fun shooter, and the combination of the scissor flippers at the bottom, and the upper flipper makes it an exciting game.
I rebuilt all the flippers on mine and it plays great now.

Some times I wonder how much pinball art was conceived 'under the influence'...….lol

Ok which one of you guys got the high speed listed on Facebook. It was listed for 1500 and she said you got her parents down to 1200. She also said you were rude to her parents and refused to wear a mask when you were asked. Dude that was a good deal at 1500 and then to be rude to her parent and not wear a mask especially around the elderly. A new low on buying a pinball. I’m sure it will show up from a flipper and probably won’t even fix the problems or shop it

Any issues with it being shipped with the legs on it? I usually take them off

I sold a BW 100 to a pinsider in Denver, he arranged shipping. When he told me to ship it this way, I was skeptical. I removed balls from game and taped the key under where I shrink wrapped the head to the game. I was told to leave legs on. Shipping company showed up and carried it out to their truck and loaded it with the power liftgate. This was the first time I sold a pin this way and took pics to CMA. It made it to Denver in 1 piece!

Had him out a few years ago for a flipper rebuild on my FT and he did some board work on my Gorgar.
Worked quickly and efficiently. He knew exactly what needed to be done and knocked it out quickly.

I have not used Rick, bet see some of his posts on Facecrook, looks like he does good work.

Post-chicago trip report...
The deep dish at Giordano's and Lou Malnati's were both quite good. Different, but I'd give a slight edge to Lou's.
Logan Arcade was even better than expected. Very cool spot with an excellent mix of games. I think Pulp Fiction might get old eventually, but it is definitely a cool game.
Headquarters Beercade was an unexpected surprise. ~20 immaculate modern games ALL ON FREE PLAY!? I'm not sure if it is always this way, but I really was able to get my feet wet on Venom.
Topped off the trip with a show at Second City, a Potbelly's sandwich, and some Garrett's popcorn.
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions - your help made it a great trip. Fortunately, didn't have any malort!

Ah you avoided the 'Chicago Handshake'!
Glad you enjoyed your time in the city.
Next time- you need to make the trip out to the Galloping Ghost in Brookfield.

Welcome SlapDrain!

Quoted from yancy:

Welcome! You'll be near a great operator in that neck of the woods, which means you'll be a short drive from a bunch of his locations. If you like craft beer, you're in for a treat.

Most of us know who that is! lol
Made my first local purchase from him! La Grange Park must be where all the cool kids live!
Also check out the Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield-one of the largest collection of video games in the world- they also have a seperate building a few blocks east for their pinball machines. Very close to your new home.
