Working game with extra playfield in Rockford. $1000

#2902 2 years ago
Quoted from seshpilot:

A couple of those inserts look pretty cupped. Do they affect gameplay much?

No that I have noticed, game is brutally hard though to get multiball, there are a few inserts that are loose but doesnt effect game play. I think of these as minors issues though I have priced it right in my eyes

Dr Who is sold..

So Memorial Day weekend is upon us. Time to take minute to thank anyone and everyone who served. Thank you!!

I know I appreciate your sacrifices to protect our freedoms. Like owning pinball machines. Any smokin pinball deals or machine's for sale?

Happy Memorial Day weekend!! Make sure to say thank you.

Memorial Day is for those that died in service. Veterans day is for those who have served.

Understood. But it's a reminder of sacrifice. I'd like to remember those who died in service by also thanking those who served/serving who are still with us. We owe those who passed, their families who lost and those who serve(d) and are still living. A thank you goes a long way regardless of the official day.

#2907 2 years ago

We can never thank the servicemen and servicewomen enough!

dropped to 2500 firm!

Need Space for more pins in route.

Might be posting a Paragon up here for sale. cabinet and playfield in nice shape, flakey back glass. needs battery replaced.
I found this company, has anyone used them?

"A complete restoration for your Bally Paragon original artwork on new tempered glass and authorized by PPS/Bally-Williams is $225USD + $65USD shipping cost to your address in the Continental US. Each restoration is made to order and usually ships within 4-7 weeks of receipt of order. Payment can be made via paypal to shazzam@comcast.net. Please note the Game Title and your contact phone in the paypal comments when ordering.

Note: Since I have already restored this title, there is non need to send your original glass."

Seems like a good deal.

By you, $2000 firm! Then a week later $1500 firm! Then will come down to $1200 firm! Assuming you bought the one from the guy on Mr Pinball for $1050 before negotiating (which means lower).

Seriously all depends on condition. I've seen a restored one sell for $2200

To be fair, at least Jesse is willing to deal and moves on his prices. "He who shall not be named" will blanket pinside, Mr Pinball, eBay and even drop flyers from an airplane or carrier pigeon with ads but yet never seems willing to deal or move off his price. That same Paragon I tease Jesse about would be priced at $3K for 12+ months. But he eventually sells it so god bless him - free market and all.

Just sad in over 12 years in this hobby, I've never even bought a shaker motor or translight from him. Oh well, that's why I love this thread!!

Nothing wrong with a little sightseeing while you have a few grand in your pocket. I'm sure I could've stopped and asked for the grand tour.

I have a 4 player 1976 Williams Space Station EM for sale or trade. $500 cash or trade for or towards another pin or arcade related items. Brand new rubbers, cleaned/waxed playfield, ready to play. This pin has a cool motorized moving target in the center of the playfield.
Currently set to free play. Everything seems to be working 100%. Here are some pics. I have many more pics and would be happy to send those over to anyone interested. I didn't want to clutter this thread with any more Space Station pics than I already have!
PM me if you would like to take a look. Located at garage level in St Charles, IL for super easy pick up.

Feeling the waters on letting Bad Cats go...

Would prefer a trade, but can sell if the offer is good. Mylar pf, cab faded. Backglass in very nice shape.

I also have a complete project jungle lord if anyone is interested, probably best used for parts.

Looking to trade for:
Dr Who, Junkyard, Funhouse, TZ, CP, ????? What you have? Tnx for looking!!!

#2938 2 years ago

did you start a FS thread as well? More will see it if you do. Game plays really well and very clean. Playfields have a lexan sheet fused to them, similar to what Sonic? or Inter does. So playfields never wear.

What the hell is going on in that translite?

#2940 2 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

What the hell is going on in that translite?

I don't know, but it's f***ing awesome!!!

#2941 2 years ago

that's not a translite. It's a backglass and there is mirroring up the ass in it. Backglass is tits.

It's obviously a guy in a biohazard suit, riding his snow rascal over the top of supermans base.

#2942 2 years ago

I thought it was Black Mantis in a port-o-potty attacking Superman's lair. All joking aside, it is a cool backglass

#2943 2 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

What the hell is going on in that translite?

It looks like something out of The Venture Bros.

Quoted from gweempose:

I don't know, but it's f***ing awesome!!!

It's so campy it is awesome! That is up there with Rollergames in the cheese factor.

#2944 2 years ago

it is pretty awesome. I saw it in person. there is so much mirroring. You can't tell in the pics, but there is a ton of it. Plus the backglass is in really nice shape. I'd give it an 8.5-8.7.

#2945 2 years ago
Quoted from Methos:

If you look below the mini-playfield, it says "ANTARTIDA" which I'm guessing is "ANTARCTICA", hence "Polar Explorer". Not sure why there are diamonds buried in Antarctica, unless those are ice crystals.

Playfield reminds me of Gottlieb Pink Panther. Such a cool looking game, love the rare ones like this.

GLWTS Rillo!

#2946 2 years ago

Alright I gotta say it. That Polar Explorer looks bad ass! Never heard of Taito before.

not even as a video game manufacturer? they made Arkanoid.

Not to mention a rather insignificant little game called Space Invaders ....

Taito actually made some of my all time favorites such as Space Dungeon, Front Line, Qix, Zoo Keeper, and Elevator Action.

I remember Jungle King, was super hard, at least for me. Played it when we had skate nights at the roller rink!
