I have a beautiful prototype one that once belonged to the programmer but honestly it would take something like a Kiss premium to get me to part with it or a huge stack of cash.

there must be a bunch of those floating around. I know someone that bought the one that was at gameworks which was also a prototype.

There wouldn't have been more than a dozen made total.

People often confuse density for scarcity. We're a small community. If you're participating in community events, you will see those rare things more often and it makes it feel like there are a lot of them because you'll remember them. It's a sub-set of the Von Restorff effect.

Would also make sense that prototypes are more frequently seen around here because Chicago is where all these pins were built.

I drove to South Dakota for one of my machines and Georgia for another. I got a weird satisfaction with the thought that I was 'bringing these pins back home!'

yes there is some cleaning that should be done every few months on some reels but not a big deal at all.these rifle games at our arcade are only played really by me...my older sons are not hip on older arcades..i keep these gun games and sea raider as that was my start along with playing a 1967 Apollo as my first game..on the down side......I would not like to have to try to get one of these games down basement stairs..heavy...no place to grab hold of..my sea raider was on third story of old music shop...some old biker friends get this down some scary stairs for me....I recommend if you have room a pitch and bat game..pitch and bat played by everyone....sadly only I play the rifle games..

These are photos from when I purchased pin... Controlled GI now has LEDs and so does back box. Has new translite and speaker panel marquee. New coin door... Only problem is that menu buttons do now work and have not had time to trouble shoot... There was a magnet wear but was touched up and cleared by previous owner... Was flipper button wear too but that hand touched up (looks great)..... I've problem only put 15 games on it as I was waiting to tear down PF to clean, wax and LED...

I got a Space Invaders for sale for $800 as is. Beautiful Cabinet. Perfect backglasses. Playfield is average. No broken plastics. Boards all look good except the MPU board. Has acid damage along the bottom. Got the game to boot once. Now I get anywhere from 1 -7 blinks on the LED. If you want to put in the time to fix the board. Should replace the bottom 2 sockets. Couple of resistors, and a predriver transistor. Personally, i'd just throw an alltek ultimate MPU in it. If it doesn't sell like this. I'll buy the MPU board and shop it out. Put it up for $1300. When I did get it to boot. Displays looked good and all the mechs worked great. Needs a new cabinet power switch. This one seems to be stuck on, so I've been using the power strip switch.
