Apologies for the Chicago question (not a trade/sell question), but this seemed like the best place to ask!
Heading to Chicago next week for a business trip and will have time Wed afternoon & evening to play some pinball. I'll be staying near millenium park. Thinking Headquarters in the late afternoon and then off to Logan. I think Enterrium will be too far away for me to get to.
Any other ideas? Any tournaments Wed or Thurs night? Pizza recommendations also welcomed

Roberts Pizza and Dough Co in streeterville is underrated and Don’t forget to have Malort while in town.
I was at Riot Fest last weekend and the Logan Square Arcade had a tent full of pins and video games-all set on free play.

Deep dish is for tourists, and since you're a tourist in this case, I recommend Pequod's. I eat it once every few years, which is enough. Tavern-style crispy thin crust is all over the place and good pretty much everywhere.
One deep dish and one malort every decade or so and I'm good.

Garbage would probably taste better. Malort is like doing a shot of stomach bile; leaves a taste in your mouth similar to having just vomited.

I honestly didn’t think my comment would get a lot of reaction. The movie “Drinking Buddies” probably describes Malort best but I don’t remember the exact quote. To paraphrase it would be to describe Malort as taking a shot of gasoline out of a used condom.
That said, in my circle we use it as a penalty. Loser in a game of darts? One Malort for you. To tie things back to pinball, low score earns you Malort.
Some things have a unique Chicago stamp on them. Deep dish, pinball, and yes Malort are all included.
I had to google Malort to find out what it is. I'd give it a shot if anyone wants to bring it to the next pinball event that we'll all be at.

I like absinthe. From the description of malort I found online it seems as though it's somewhat similar to absinthe. So maybe I'll like it?! As long as it's not full of sugar and sweet it will probably be alright.
I've had both, not in the same night, I don't recall them being similar. Malort is really it's own thing and I have never even heard of anyone actually liking it.

Yeah most likely not similar in taste, but they both contain wormwood and I guess could be considered herbal liqueurs. The anise in absinthe stands out, so if there is none in malort the flavors will be quite different but I'd still consider the two similar because of the ingredients.

Doug. Malort was designed to taste bad to humans. It legitimately tastes like you did a burnout with your car, scraped up the tire shavings put it in some sort of alcohol and farted on it. You should probably skip this one due to I don't want you to lose faith in humanity.
