I just recently lost $1500 because I believed the 'legit ad' someone made on condition but when I received the game it was not as described (they would not cover shipping costs even though they agreed it was not as described).

I lately have been gun-shy and tried to be more relaxed about transactions (twice) but I totally get we need to help support the website for this to even exist.

Please follow Gweem's direction and AFTER always make sure to post in this thread. I'd still like to see more games stay in IL and within this sub community. But create an ad first then let us know in here.

How's it goin', eh? I'm up here in Wisconsin, where they closed all the Regal theaters, and I have an old Regal gift card that should be worth $25. I can't be sure because it's so old there's no PIN on it, you have to bring it to the theater to see.

So who wants it? I'll send it to you free of charge, I'd just like to see it get used, assuming it is good. First to PM gets it! (But please be someone who will use it themselves.)

Has anyone here worked with Great American Pinball? What is their communication style like?

Nothing major, I just put an order for a second run of FF Prem NIB when I noticed they had an ad here on Pinside about how they still had some slots available for the first production run. I'm almost certain that's just a copy-paste error, but when I sent over an email, and a follow up a few weeks later, I heard nothing back.

It's not a super big deal, but a "oh, no, those are all gone now, sorry about that" would have been nice... I just want to make sure to not get worried about things.

I’ve worked with Mike at GAP. Always comes through but communication isn’t the best. Follow up with him and give him a call.

Awesome, that’s kinda what I figured. He seems to have done a lot of sales here, so I figured if there was something to worry about, it would have come up (one of the reasons I went with him), but it’s good to get confirmation.

I do know that Mike will fight for you if you get a machine from him that has defects. Very impressive how they have your back.

GAP has been awesome to work with and comes through for me every time. It’s nice living 15 mins away from his storefront. I bought 5 machines from him since 2020 and all went well. Follow up again and he’ll get back to you.

I'll just re-iterate what everyone else said about GAP & Mike. Not the best communicator, but solid seller and distributor. I got on his waitlist early for a Godzilla Prem when it was sold out everywhere else and he called me a few weeks later telling me I could have it in a week. He 100% delivers (he just may not reply immediately )

Sounds like Mike follows through, but there may be a GAP in communications from him.
