Quoted from bangerjay:Neo’s specialty is worn hole work
Has he fixed yours ?
Quoted from G35R6:I hope this is the correct place to post this.
Does anyone know of someone local (within 200 miles of Chicago) that does restoration work on used playfields?
Someone who you've actually dealt with and trust?
The repair work would be for a few inserts lifting (possible touchups) and worn hole work. Finish it off with a good clear coat.
I reached out to HEP and Kruzman and neither will do just playfields.
I'd like someone local but if there aren't any, then who have you used?
Thanks.
Yep. Neo is your guy. Quality work, and a great person to boot!
Quoted from CaptainNeo:it was beyond repair.
I heard you tried tossing a dart down the hallway a few times, but weren't able to hit the wall.

Just listen to the song at the end of Poor Man's PinBall Podcast.
I have a players condition hook that I will be listing. It has LEDs throughout. Display was out gassing so I put in an LED DMD. Game works great. It will be updated to the latest Chad code (I'm waiting for the ROMs that's why I haven't listed yet).
Wanting to change my lineup so looking to trade for other DMDs than sell. Preferred option would be to trade for another players condition dmd of similar value but also willing to do +/- cash. I will update my wishlist, but I'm open to ideas.

I have a HEP TOM and HEP TZ available for sale or trade (Hobbit, ACNC, POTC). Each is about a 10 year old restoration, but excellent condition. Playfields cleared by Chris and in excellent shape. TOM is listed in marketplace. I’m holding off on listing TZ because both are snowed in at the moment (walk out basement is really the only way in or out for pins). If TZ sells, I will list it and pay Pinside. Asking price on TZ will be a bit more than TOM, but please message me if interested on either. Thanks.
Anyone know Pinsider Andrewrush37? He’s trying to buy a game from me and he’s only been here for five days. Says he lives in Indiana. Red flag is a waving in the wind.

I'd recommend that you proceed with extreme caution. He may be legit, but there is no way to really know. Cash on the glass is always the safest way to do a transaction if possible.

Seems to be a bunch of "new users" popping up to buy a game. I had one try to buy my Tron with some oddball PayPal transactions. I pulled the plug. Had another one say he'd buy it if I can get it to Grand Rapids... LoL

I had a sort of odd transaction that worked out when I sold my AMH (still have a folder saved, sold on 4.28.19). Had a woman contact me that was getting into pinball and played it at a show, had her boyfriend and his friend pick it up because they were already into pinball and had a few games. They wanted to paypal the entire thing. This raised a red flag because they could request a refund, but after texting back and forth they said they didn't want to transport $5600 in cash across 2 state lines, so we agreed to do half paypal, half cash on glass. I recorded the entire thing with a webcam (plus my ring recorded them arriving and taking the game out), and made them sign a paper saying they agreed to the condition of the game so I could present that to paypal and be like "nuh-uh, they signed this paper". It worked out, never got a chargeback.
ALWAYS be weary of new users, or any transaction that isn't cash. Unless they are a known person that can at least be legitimized by other users, assume everyone is out to rip you off of your expensive toy.

Very true to use caution and common sense No question. With that said also try not to assume or stereotype a buyer because they don't live on a forum like many. My last three sales were from buyers that joined days prior or had 0 posts. All 3 went Perfectly and we are both happy. I would bet of the XXX thousand Pinside members at least 50% simply come here to research info. Just make sure to take extra steps of caution like a Verbal call, cash or Iron clad funding, and constant communication. At this point there are Many more New collectors than old and most are legitimate buyers. Follow common sense.
especially if you are new. You need to buy in person, until you get used to how the pinball collectors work. It's not worth it. Find something within driving distance.

This is so key. Last few listings have had a lot of weird messages. I’ll always give better deals to people I have dealt with previously or recognize because almost everyone else seems sketch.

Anyone watching the auction from Kraft in valpo?
Both games non-working. Harlem doesnt even have GI lighting up either.
Hammer price 1200 for Harlem. 1300 for eight ball.
Plus 30% on top of that for fees and tax.
This market is goofy.
Side note, going to be paring my collection down to about 10 games soon.

You should sell me that pesky doctor who. Nobody likes that crap game and I feel like... you know... I'd be doing you a favor?

That's in the "maybe" column. It wont be cheap though as it's a pretty nice example.
