$20 buy-in + coin drop (all proceeds go to Python for to help with his medical expenses)

We'll also have a bunch of Python art for sale.

Registration and warm-up starts at 12pm.
    Tournament starts at 1pm.

It will be a 3 strikes format and we'll do a side tourney on one of the Classics games as well! Games will be decided the morning of the tournament so practice them all!

Huge thanks to Art Dodd for organizing and running this event.

Logan Arcade is located at 2410 W. Fullerton right off the corner of Western Ave. One block from the expressway and four or five blocks from the California stop on the O'Hare/Forest Park blue line. We're open from 3pm-2am Monday through Friday. 12pm-3am on Saturday & 12pm-2am on Sunday. We have a full bar, several interesting sodas, and plenty of seating. Approximately 45 vids and 25 pins. Games range from 25 cents a game (vids, EMs, solid state) to 50 cents/$1 for 3 games (alphanumeric, DMDs). Only exception is Star Trek Premium which is set at 75 cents a game. We don't offer any food at this time but outside food is permitted. I'll try and get a menu book or something together by tourney time.

Any further question can be answered on the Facebook event page:

Never done a pinball tournament, but this sounds like a good reason to break that streak.

I'm a godawful player and usually don't do tourneys myself. Who knows? Maybe I've gotten better!

    Quoted from awarner:

Thanks for doing this for our friend Python!

It's our pleasure. Thank ARTMAN, though. He's the organizer!

This is a bizarre YouTube find and pretty awesome for the first 30 seconds. This fella got Steve Ritchie to do Firepower. Steve and Mark stopped by a couple of weeks back. I, of course, missed it.

Gonna post some of the prints we'll have for sale at the tournament.

This is a Saturday Evening Post magazine cover Python did. Quality print on fancy canvas!

Good luck! We raised $1000 for Python this past weekend at the event I ran here in Connecticut.

Anyone who is remotely close should go! We had a ton of extremely casual players come out who never would of thought of competing and had a blast!

We should have Python trading cards and possibly a hall of fame induction 8x11 glossy on hand for those who enter the tournament. Mark from KLOV sent me the document, I just have to get them printed up while also gearing up for the ClassicArcadeGaming.com vid tourney that's happening down at the record store on the following weekend. Lots of games moving around in this little corner of Chicago

    Bump!

Only a day away! Here's a pic of tourney prizes and giveaway flyers donated by Stern and Pinball Life. First place gets the Sparky!

Who else from Pinside is attending? Looking forward to playing my first tourney for a good cause!

    #24 10 years ago

I wanna see some of those high scores done wrong while we're doing good, too, folks.

Link for the standings is live now. If you're coming to the tourney, follow via your phone. Others can watch standings via the link as well.

Thanks to everyone for coming out! Saw familiar faces as well as strangers and everyone was more than kind. Thank you & big thanks to Art for running it!

    #29 10 years ago

Yeah thanks again Art. How much were we able to raise for Python?

    #30 10 years ago

A giant thank you to everyone who came out yesterday in support of the cause. We ended up raising right about $600 for Python from the tournament/donations alone. It was great seeing a lot of new tourney players I'd never met before, including a few pinsiders!

What a blast to get to do this at Logan Arcade. Where else can you play such a great range of games on location in Chicago? It was Radical! A massive thank you to James, Jim, Zespy, and crew for tolerating us and being so kind to let us hammer those great games all day! Below are the results from the tournaments. Thanks to everyone involved in putting on a great event. Met and played against a lot of great guys. Best way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Special thanks to Barron for enduring so many inquiries about the Pinbot print. My first taste of tournament play and now I'm hungry to find the next...

I'd like to give a quick thank you to Barron. He saw that I wanted one of Python's Bride prints, and sent me a PM with everything he still had available. Due to a tight budget with having to plan for two of my kids birthday's coming up in May and June, I was unable to shell out for the big BOP print, but was able to send the money for the Bride Poem. Also, he is throwing in the last Cowboy Vs Alien print, and is letting me pay for that next month! What a great guy! What an awesome community! Thank you for being awesome, Barron!
