Hello Pinside.

Have a hollywood that will not properly reset. It's acting like there is a ball in the "t" and "r" hole and keeps trying to eject the ball from there.

• Check the spacing on the switch for both holes. Perfectly adjusted
• Coin door has a small relay on it that keeps looping on off when machine powers on.
• Lock relay is energized when machine powers on otherwise open as expected.
• Machine can score and goes through balls accurately when a credit is added.

What else could be causing the "t" and "r" relay to fire and keep the score motor running. Looked at all switches on the score motor, and from the map on the side (Thanks CC!~) it's perfect. It was working fine for about a month and then had 29 or so games on it and it stopped. Thinking it might be coin door, but welcome thoughts.

Could be that the table doesn’t think it’s compleated a reset properly.

Just looking at the last photo. There is a loose wire near that green coil. Do not think this is your problem, but it may be worth mentioning.

Purple with orange stripe next to the bonus unit. Nice catch I’ll reattach it but you are correct it was not my problem.

Standard electrical troubleshooting techniques apply. You'll have to learn them on your own or get someone there to quickly figure it out and show you.
Could easily be a stray screw or washer or solder splash that fell from the playfield onto the bottom board.

Disconnect the coin door since you're convinced that is your issue. You may need to jumper the NC coin switches and maybe a slam tilt switch.

Yea working through it. The coin door is a symptom but not the problem. Jumpin was a good idea. Rules out the coin door. I know I have a connection somewhere I shouldn’t hoping that someone can give me a clue on why the TR coin would be the only one in that bank resetting.

Cleaned, adjusted, and tested the B stack same issue. Next up the coin door double relays.

If the T and R *RELAY* is firing, check these switches.

Thanks HowardR took apart the A and E stack, cleaned. Went back to the switches. Cleaned and bent back the "lugs" on the switches, tested with a MM to ensure there was nothing with a closed circuit.

Restarted..... and....

So I can conclude that I think I had a switch issue all along and just didn't clean, test, or look hard enough. Thanks for the help HowardR your highlights forced me to go back and look at the switches that I thought I had checked. Next time I am in CO beers are on me. (And I should be there sometime in 2018)

Thanks again!
