Just picked up a Hollywood, looks like a fun game. Of course not working, lots of issues one is the score reels wont release manually , seem very sticky? I have one reel with one solder track broken and not looking repairable. The flipper coils have been connected with jumper wires and some hang off, may be needing some help with wiring, I am looking forward to playing my first Chicago Coin and give my Williams some competition.

Two of my 3 inch score reels are fried, I managed to repair 4 for player one. how do I disable two player mode? at least until I can find parts?
Any ideas

Hi
Thanks a lot, I hope to get back at it tonight and fix that switch, I need score reel parts I got 1 fried board and two plastic switches broke(the ones with the fingers on) I have all the second player score reels unplugged and having a hard time sorting out the position for zero on all the first player reels?

Thanks again

I would love the parts manual if not to much work

I now have 4 working score reels player one only, I found the zero position.
I have no working score reels for player two. After manually adding points to the score reels I turn the game on and they reset to zero but the score motor is still running I assume looking for player two score reels to reset which they can not. I have the main connectors off. I am not sure how to do what you recommend but would like to try, what do you mean by (or set the switch to always reset)?
The advance coil you refer to is the coil on each score reel?

LongJohns thanks alot
Got it playing one player ok, seems to be working with some minor issues, with no rubbers on it and kind of sluggish it is a great game, thanks for the help. I am going to start cleaning and checking over, keep ya posted.
I cant scan because mine is out getting touched up but I think you can get at a web site?

Darn Hollywood.. last score reel rolls over some times (10,000) I do manually from 1000 reel and it rolls over fine? Playing a game it will work for a bit then stop working???
I have checked board, switch, wiring and can't find problem. Would there be any where else I should be looking?

#227 9 years ago

I have seemed to corrected the score reel issue I backed off the score reel nut
As I moved on I don't get any advance bonus, no lights , the bonus unit stepper was gummy, I cleaned and it seems to be working manually, are the two side by side switches to be open at the zero position?
