+1 for a sound stage WIP owner with a roached backglass that would be in on a new Translite. I have one that's working to play but with issues - (player 2/player select stack not working, 100,000 light relay not functioning, a few lights blow when replaced, etc - but plays a fully scoring 1 player game)... I shopped it out and fixed the necessities to get it running, but it's now somewhere lower in my backlog to fully repair.

I'm not planning to getting rid of it any time soon and would like something better than the backglass I have - but for a mostly working machine I rescued from a moldy basement for $200, a $300 glass is a bit steep.

Quoted from Chalkey:

Does anyone else have a sound stage or juke box where the spinner cover is a good bit lower than the playfield? Mine is acting like "the power" on Addams family and I figure I need to put some kind of a shim under there to get it even. Anybody already been through this?

Mine is shockingly flat after all these years, but I wonder if you could use the little rubber grommets a la Black Hole/Haunted house? I bought a dozen or two of them to fix my SF2 car crush window and haven't gotten around to it yet. PBResource has them for like 10 cents a pop

check the switch stack gaps - especially if you've cleaned them. I had the same issue when I got in my Sound Stage and a quick switch adjust was all it took to restore it. Also - check the main player select switch stack. When I got mine, I had a similar issue and it was a rusted out rivet shorting around and causing issues in that stack if memory serves.

Now - I have a fully functioning single player sound stage (other projects have just sounded better than spending time ripping out a very large switch stack to replace then resolder)

Does anyone have a recommendation for replacing the photo cell in a Sound Stage/Juke Box? I'm working on one for a customer and it's dead. I can jump it and it works just fine through the relays and into scoring, so it's definitely the actual photo receptor. I saw a post about an oil cad burner used, but that post was over 5 years ago and doubt the person is still here.

EDIT - Nevermind - pulled the whole thing apart to get a better look at it and there was a wire off. ha!
