I have a 1975 CC "Top Ten" project I need to finish sometime in the future, so no you are not alone.

Quoted from GreyScale:Woo hoo! Top Ten does look rather fun with the spinning record in the middle, reminds me of TOTAN.
CC did very few machines with Drop targets.
I have not played mine but the Targets reset again after the last one is down so there is non stop action between the Drop Targets and the Big Spinner. Backglass for this title is available at bgresto.com.
Ken
Very cool Tim.
Wish the video showed more of the Playfield in action.
It will be nice when you finally get around to yours.
Ken
Too bad none of you guys picked up this beauty. Oh well, It's mine now.
Just could not resist so I claimed pinball insanity to my wife and won my case! Just one more pin to cart to the Southwest but I will set this one up in the house when it arrives so I can have a pin to play/work on for the Winter.
A 1972 Chicago Coin "Casino"
ebay.com link: 1972 Chicago Coin CASINO 4 Player Pinball Machine WOW 149 99 Shipping
Now I am a solid member of the Chicago Coin club.
To me, this title and "Stage Coach" are CC grail pins.
Ken
Quoted from AlexF:Casino is supposed to be a great game. Congratulations.
Thanks Alex!
I like calling it the poor mans "Fireball". No Multiball which is too bad but it has 2 spinning discs instead on one. Also who needs Zipper Flippers when you have a shot at closing all the Drain Lanes to save your ball.
Ken
Quoted from Pin-it:Going to a good home.
Thanks pin-it.
Yes I will take good care of it and get that 8+ overall condition to a 9+ very shortly with some extra parts I have for it.
Ken
Quoted from Pin-it:See the reviews on IPDB rate it very well, a little Playboy Magazine cover too! Nice features.
When we get to the Southwest I'm sure Jeff will want to come pay us a visit to play this one
Ken
Quoted from GreyScale:Happy to see this topic taking off! Its certainly getting more replies than I thought it would. Thanks guys!
Thank You GreyScale!
Ken
Quoted from AlexF:Well Herb Silvers owns one and lists it as his favorite game on his website. Considering how many classics have passed through his shop over the years I'd say that's a pretty good commentary.
Did not know that Alex, Thanks again for sharing. I would say that this one is going to be a keeper for me.
Ken
Quoted from Gangplank:Sadly, I "may" be leaving the CC Club, its one of my least played tables and may go up for sale for that reason, that and I'm hustling funds for a MMR.
That would be sad to see you leave the CC Club as Casino is a hard to find title. Just got mine and here are some pics of it at the house. Most likely it will not be ready to play until after New Years. When I am done with it the Playfield should be a 8.5, Backglass 9.5, Cabinet 8.0.
Ken
Casino Cabinet.JPG Casino Head.JPGQuoted from Gangplank:I was also wondering, if its not too much trouble that is, if you could scan the "ball in play" card for me, I know its a lot to just request but I cannot find it anywhere and I need one for mine can't hurt to ask either way
Wish I could Gangplank but my Scanner on my printer does not work. Went out the same time as my cell phone, PC, and toaster.
If I get a new Printer/scanner in the future I will send you one, Sorry.
Brite side is 2 months later I have my PC up and running again along with a new toaster.
Ken
Quoted from dasvis:Just picked up a beater Chicago coin "Top ten" this afternoon. Playfield, cab, & backglass are below average
Funny thing is every time I see a Top Ten it's a beater as well along with plenty of other CC titles. Guess over the years folks just thought CC pinball machines were sub par compared to the big 3 manufactures and were not worth keeping up the maintenance on and just played them to death.
Ken
Quoted from dasvis:Just picked up a beater Chicago coin "Top ten" this afternoon.
Oh and congrats on your new pin!
Ken
Quoted from dasvis:Moved the pin to my storage facility early this morning, took a few photos:
This should give you guys some extra motivation for fixing up your Top Ten machines. Here is a thread on my machine.
http://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/1975-chicago-coin-top-ten-restoration
It is still a work in progress.
Some things have changed as it will now get like new Chrome legs and another Coin Door that is in good shape. I used the painted legs and Coin Door off this machine and transferred it to my CC "Casino" in which the restoration is almost done.
Top Ten will be a nice Players machine once it is done as well.
Ken
Quoted from SchertzPinball:Does anyone have a Bronco backglass for sale? Mine could use a replacement.
WOW! Just when I thought my Williams Stardust Backglass was bad!
Good luck in your quest as I am still looking for a Stardust Backglass and it's been about 6 months searching now.
Ken
Quoted from izzy:Still need to do a translite
Hey izzy, Why not just get a real Backglass from bgresto.com for $200.00?
Ken
Quoted from izzy:Got my Top Ten PF installed and working.
Looks great izzy!
Not sure if mine will come out that nice but it will be close.
Ken
Quoted from dasvis:Is that an early optical switch on the spinning record wheel thing? &- does it have something to do with the two odd plastic cased relays on the bottom of the playfield?
It is the photo eye sensor and there are 2 SS relays that operate it located on the front end of the underside of the Playfield on one side.
The transition from EM to SS has begun! Boooooooo!!
Ken
Quoted from dasvis:Actually it looks almost decent compared to mine
I guess what I was getting at was that to date I have never seen a "Top Ten" without some degree of heavy wear on the Playfield whether it is on ebay, craigslist, or anywhere and I have seen about 8 different machines in the past 2 years.
I mean didn't anyone want to apply some wax and change out the Ball at least once in a while? Geeezzzz!
Ken
Quoted from jcg9998:1939 called Nippy.
Just saw your collection of EM's jcg9998 and must say it is a very nice and varied collection you have. Some I have not even heard of much less seen in person.
Ken
Follow up pictures.
Legs and Coin Door will be repainted at a later date to the original darker grey that was used by CC rather than the smoke grey found on the mid-70's models.
Enjoy!

Thanks Gangplank!
My wife's favorite pin out of any pin I own now or in the past so if I sell it I will be a very lonely man.
It is the only CC pin I will ever keep in my collection because it is just that fun. May think about a CC Twin Rifle Gun Game for the collection down the road too.
Ken
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:I can't wait to play your Casino when you move to San Antonio later this year.
It amazes me how such a simplistic game as Casino can be yet so much fun and be such a "Just 1 more game" kind of pin when I have so many other pins with much better Rulesets and I keep coming back to this one
Casino had to be a big money maker on location. Wish this one was in our high school back in the day instead of a Bally Bow & Arrow, but then again my lunch money would have been gone every day between that and the Gottlieb Target Alpha we had.
Ken
Quoted from AlexF:Hurray! The search is over I got one! 1947 Chicago Coin Basketball Champ.
Congrats Alex!
Looking forward to seeing before and after pictures when you are done restoring it.
Ken
Quoted from SkiTrent:The gentleman said 'if you can move it out.. it is yours!'
Congrats! Free is the best!
The best 70's CC pinball game IMO.
Looks like you will need a Cabinet repaint if you want it original as it looks like an operator switched out the Cabinet at some point most likely due to extreme damage issues on the route as that is not the original paint scheme.
Your Backglass looks great, maybe even better than mine by a tad. Your Playfield will need some touchup, more than mine did, but you can see the pictures of how that turned out for me on this thread. Pop Bumper wear was common on these CC games as they used no Mylars around the Pop Bumpers. I will install non adhesive Mylars on mine down the road if I ever get around to rebuilding them.
Ken
Quoted from SkiTrent:Do you know how a player would get a free ball? I have a CC Casino and I can't determine what allows a player to get that 'free play'.
With the Jones Plug set to Replay there is no Extra Ball Awarded. The only way to get a Free game on Replay is to get it by Score, no Special.
Ken
Quoted from mwmorgan:I just bought my first pin and it is Top Ten. It is fun to play but does anyone know how to level the spinning target? Mine hangs down in the front and the ball keeps getting stuck there. I havent had any luck leveling it. Thanks
Congrats on your first EM pin!
I owned a Top Ten at one point and the big spinner should just screw to the bottom of the Playfield flush.
First, check your Manual on the page with the exploded parts version of the big spinner and make sure all parts are there. If they are, you may want to check to see if the bracket is bent and re-bend accordingly.
If you have no Manual Pinball Resource will have one for about $4.00.
Good luck.
Ken
Quoted from Mopar:I had a Casino stored also forever. It needs a backglass
bgresto.com has these readily available as I gave them the scan file for it.
Quoted from Jakers:Can anyone help me out with sourcing these parts?
PM me with your name and address if you want the complete CC Top Ten parts catalog. Schematics can be purchased from either Pinball Resource or eBay.
Quoted from Jakers:Can anyone help me out with sourcing these parts?
I bought all my parts from eBay and a Pinsider long ago as I had both Top Ten and Casino. Between the two you should find them quickly.
Good luck in your quest.
Quoted from EM-PINMAN:Looks like CC 1972 Casino has moved into 2nd place position on the IPDB as of 5/9/17.
Time for everyone to get one!
Chicago Coin is gaining steam and soon to pass all Gottlieb's, Bally's, and Williams!
As of 6/2/17, Casino went from #2 to #3 for a while but has been back to #2 for a few days. Just goes to prove what a fun 3" flipper game CC Casino is IMO.
Quoted from Mopar:Is Casino
actually a true multi-player Add-a-Ball where the balls can be cumulated during play.
No, it is just an Extra Ball game.
Interesting that it is the easiest game to Hi-Tap. There is a Jones plug Jack in front for Normal and High Tap, easy switch over and back. Thought that was a great idea by the company for locations short on power. The big 3 never did that to my knowledge that I know of.
Quoted from Jakers:So I've gotten my Top Ten pin fully working except for the score reset. On the startup sequence of a new game the score reels only cycle up 3 numbers then the ball is kicked into play. Example: a score of 28940 will reset to 50070. All the zero switches on the reels are good and they all move freely. In order to get full zeros when I want to play a game I have to hit the start button then power cycle the game, hit start button, power cycle the game, hit start button (now I'm at full zeros) and play my game.
Where could this problem be coming from?
Sounds like the score reset relay in not holding long enough. Could be a dirty/adjustment switch on the score motor that controls it as timing sounds like the issue. Something to look at anyway.
Quoted from meSz:Ever think about taking the glass to a local place to have scanned? Not sure as to the cost but it would save you from shipping but also from possible breakage! Just a thought!
Cost me $50.00 a side, so $100.00 for a full digital scan put on a CD which is the best for replicating the detail of the art. I had done 2 glasses this way, so pricey at $200.00 total. It was a Williams Klondike and Chicago Coin Casino, both which I donated the scan to bgresto.com and never even bought the glass from them. Loved the art on both machines, gameplay not so much and sold them.
