I started my hunt for an Earthshaker backglass and it seems LOTS of other people are also on the hunt. With CPR announcing ES playfields in the cue I wondered how many people would buy a glass if we could convince them to rerun them?

Please post up (to keep the thread bumped) and vote to get a count. Maybe there are enough people that it would be worth their effort?

Man I have thought about this recently. I have and ES with a pretty nice playfield, minor imperfections on backglass but bad ramps. So I invested in the ramps since the effect gameplay (skill shot especially). When CPR still had the mirrored backglasses I was thinking of it but passed. The money in versus return just would not be there is I ever sold (I rarely sell) and without a perfect playfield it would never be QC so why bother.

Getting ready for installing the ramps I noticed a couple of broken plastics. Ramps on ES are a pain so might as well do a top shot while at it right? So I got a set from CPR. Now they announce the playfield and my only thought was if I knew they were going to do the playfield in advance I may have gotten everything.

So I wish you added a maybe to the poll and not just 3 yes, 1 no.

I'd buy one. Although I'd me more interested in a re run of the whirlwind mirrored backglass they did a while back.

You didn't miss anything with the WW glass. The translites looked much better and clearer than the glass. I passed on one after seeing it in person.

Interesting. Thanks for the insight. Makes me wonder if their Earthshaker glass would have a similar inferior look?

Also, I'm sure this has been said many times, but if they (or someone else) could produce full plastic sets for either of these games, that would be excellent. I've got a fresh set of brand new ramps waiting in the wings for my WW, and I'd hate to have to re-use old cracked plastics if I can help it.

The ES backglass is supposed to be spot on perfect. I think they have a write-up on their website detailing how they did it. There are limitations reproing a backglass from a translite. ES was always a backglass.

dsuperbee is correct on the CPR WW BG. A friend of mine actually sent his WW BG back for a refund to CPR. However I must say, CPR did an excellent job on the ES BG. I bought one and very happy with it!!

What is prohibiting CPR from doing another small run?

as far as I know, nothing aside form enough interest in making it happen....

That is really the purpose of this thread. Hoping we get enough people saying yes that CPR will take note. I can only assume a rerun of what by all sounds is their best BG reproduciton to date woudl not be too difficult and possibly a no brainer?

looks great! Do you remember what they originally cost?

#11 8 years ago

constantly seeing wanted ads, myself included. Easy money for CPR I would think.

Sorry Whysnow, can't find the paypal statement. I want to say $249 shipped. But in all seriousness I can't remember. Maybe someone else can chime in on the CPR ES BG cost!

I think they were $235 + shipping.

250 is what I paid for mine. It looks extremely nice when compared to my nos one in a swap box. Almost dead on

#15 8 years ago

thanks.

Also, aside from trying to help CPR with gauging interest... If anyone has a decent original or nice CPR one, I am happy to pay. I also have other desirable/ rare parts in stash i could possibly trade.

#16 8 years ago

8 people so far. That is a start.

#17 8 years ago

I already have a CPR Earthshaker backglass that I'm keeping in the game.
It's great and would love to see another run for other folks to be able to get one.
I'd be in, if I wasn't already.

#18 8 years ago

bump for more to see/ denote interest.

I wonder how many woudl need to show interest in order for CPR to consider a rerun?

#19 8 years ago

I'm in for sure. My original glass has faded colors - the sky almost looks the same as the grass. With the playfield now officially being done (I'm in on that already, of course) I sure hope they re-run the backglass.

#20 8 years ago

13 people now in. bump to hopefully get some more.

#21 8 years ago

14 Yes.

Ping out to your friends that may be interested.

I have to think we are getting close to enough that it would justify then doing a run???

Vaguely recall somebody saying 50 was the magic number, but I may be wrong on that.

yeah, I think I heard 50 was the number for a run.

Getting 20 sold right off the start based on a silly online poll is pretty solid.

#24 8 years ago

If 3 vendors bought in at 10 each, you are pretty much there though.....

#25 8 years ago

Mine is held tight by packing tape. Looks okay, though. I'd be in for one if they look better than the Centaur & Taxi repros I've seen.

#26 8 years ago

15 in.

Any other pinsiders in on this?

Would love to get 25 Yes and then let CPR know. It is just one measuring stick but some info is better than none.

#28 8 years ago

I would buy. i even pay up front for a spot. Please make another run

#29 8 years ago

please make sure you click Yes in the poll up top also!

I am hoping we can continue to get some bigger #s of interest and CPR will take notice.

#30 8 years ago

I already have their es bg.....
I really hope they rerun ww though

#31 8 years ago

You guys get the number and we'll make them... Course it's highly likely we'll make them anyway for release at the same time as the PF. I ordered PF parts this week for ES PF so they are getting closer.

Thank you cpr! I already have your bg. Mine had one small wear spot but looked good otherwise. I bought the cpr one 2 years ago at a show for 250. Freaking awesome! The mirror was keen and it really looked great. I passed on the last ww at the show because of a small wear spot and no discount. I regret that every day as the my Ww is faded and your's looked awesome........
To sum it up,
Thank you CPR!
Hope to get a request to pay for FT soonish

Hi Everyone,

I have a nice ES backglass for sale or trade, I really don't want to ship it though. Anyone close enough to Tulsa, OK interested? I will take pictures of it later today and post on the Marketplace but wanted to give you all a heads-up.

Would be interested in a trade + cash towards a nice EM.

If I do end up shipping, Sijcolo has first chance to buy it. Also, not sure how you can tell if it is original or CPR. Or if it matters.

Sorry for the hijack, Pm if interested.

As the originator for this thread I think I should get first crack at purchase

Haha, I happened to see his thread first requesting a hi-res scan of the ES backglass so Pm'd him. You are definitely second in line

#48 8 years ago

I picked up Earthshaker a couple of weeks ago.

As far as the pinside collection I haven't added the doubles I have. Plus I have
another game I'm chasing.

#49 8 years ago

What do you have doubles of? We should maybe trade doubles

#50 8 years ago

Your favorite Tron and TAF. Maybe if you had a tron you would realize how awesome it is
