Not even IPDB knows who made this thing, but it's mint!

What is this worth???

The owner is just north of San Diego CA and may be willing to part with it.

Wow. That's a new one. Never saw that one before. Wonder what the story is on it?

Looks awesome! Way better than the OG

I wonder if it was a sample game? Rejected proto from the KISS licensing department?

Or maybe they tried an experiment to use less colors in the screen print process to save some BOM. (ie what Centaur would do later) This has less colors than the production.

I know this much. They were part of a conversion kit. Other than IPDB, this is only the 2nd time I have seen one of these.

Anyone know who the manufacturer is/was?

Like a conversion kit from another title? Interesting….

Here is another KISS rarity i found on ipdb this week. A KISS fiberglass cabinet that was sent to Germany (only 2 made supposedly).

Wow! I really like that fiberglass cab! Very 1970s space age. Would have fit right in on “Alien”.

Extra interesting because KISS had to change their logo in Germany during the 70s (and maybe 80s? ) because the 2 S letters look a LOT like the Nazi SS logo. But the backglass has the regular logo

Wouldn't they have had to change the SS lettering on this though if it was going to Germany? Maybe it went to another territory in Europe

edit: looking at the IPDB, the playfield has the right logo. Odd that the backglass wasn't swapped

Something else is different about the playfield material? It's not a typical color at least

Yep. Even on the 2015 Stern game, they had to use the standard SS. On this game, the playfield looks to have the regular German SS, not the lightning bolt style. Maybe a compilation or the owner put in a US backglass?

I kinda want to see HEP do a KISS restore now with that yellow background color. I think it would really pop.
