Hi Pinheads!

I've got a Cheap Squeak sound board out of a Bally Fireball Classic (1985). Is there anyway to work on it on the bench?

Can't find anything on Leon chip methods, or any bench testing for that matter. Maybe has to be in the game to work on? I don't have the whole machine, just the board.

Any help would be appreciated!

Bill

Yes you can. Hook up 12v and ground from a power supply. The LED flash code can be found at pin wiki online. If you hook up a speaker and the board is working it will produce a test sound when you press the test button.

The board in the pic has an X’s an O’s game rom in U3. I know Fireball Classic usually uses two roms.

Thanks for your comments. I'll go ahead and give that a try and see how far I get.

Yeah, I just grabbed a pic off the internet- not my actual board. My board looks like that one except has two ROMs.
