If you're looking for an easy way to organize the top chest of your toolbox buy any bucket organizer sleeve and cut it in half. Zipscrew it to your lid. Unless you're an auto mechanic at work these lids stay open year-round at your house!

Just thought I'd spread the idea, cheers.

    Excellent idea!
Yes. The lid on my tool boxes is always open. I haven't closed them since the day I started putting tools in them.

I work on cars for a living. Tools make me money- tool box does not. So I try and organize/maximize space.

Wire form that is used on hydraulic hose to keep it from kinking is good for wrench organizing. I have over 150 wrenches in this drawer that if were kept in blow mold trays would maybe fit only half.

Wire form can also be used for screwdrivers and pliers.

Tools make me money as well, I'm an elevator mechanic so my tool boxes must be mobile. Site to site, I can get by with a small 4 wheel husky with other job boxes for the big stuff. My top drawer looks a bit like your picture but less wrenches more socket. I'm definitely trying that wire/spring method. Problem is getting the idiot helper to put things back in the right spot. That's why boxes will always be better than bags.

Check out montezuma boxes. I think they are pretty slick boxes.

That pretty nifty. How do you organize sockets?

Finally got around to starting this project to make it easier to find the tool I'm looking for.

Home Depot Husky bucket organizer and three super strong magnet to hold it. I still close the top when not in use.

Thanks you wisefwumyogwave for the idea.
