In preparation for Joes backboard mod, I removed my backboard and removed the center panel.
I replaced the bulbs with flex lead flashers and relocated the two center flashers to position them in the center of the round balls on the screened panel . I flared both left and right flashers on both sides to dispense more light over the screened panel than concentrated in one area which is where mine previously were.

It made a big difference and cost was about 12 bucks and a half hours time.
