About a year or so ago I picked up a T2 pinball machine fully shopped, and I'd like to be proactive with replacing the batteries. I've never done this before and was hoping someone can explain to me how this should be done. It currently has 3 AA batteries inside.

I'd like to keep my high scores.

Just looking for best procedure here.

Thanks!

Leave game turned on. Carefully remove the batteries and install new ones. + side up on all.

Thanks LTG!

I had heard it was very easy - just wanted to confirm!

Cheers!

Replace with lithium batteries and they last 7+ years and unlikely to leak. Alkaline batteries are ticking time bombs, some leak well before the expiration date.

I prefer NVRAM to remove batteries out of the game. This game would require soldering.

LTG -Why should you keep the game turned on when changing batteries?

You'll lose the high scores otherwise.

And all your settings too.

When changing batteries always do with power on to maintain all settings. Unless its TZ, I highly recommend nvram. or at the very least lithium batteries as mentioned above.
