Enjoying my son's first pinball machine of his own, a first father's day gift from my wife. Excuse the lack of landscaping, we just tore up the yard! We spend most warm nights here with beer and a fire.

That looks really nice. Are you going to setup a projector? I want a deck so bad.

Got it all planned. Jaws at night in the pool on floats...

We have our Chairs in the Yard....
A place to sit, and chat. Have a cold Beer, or a smoke. Watch the Rain and lightning come in....
For me now, a place to meditate, and reflect.
So in retirement, I finished mine, and wanted to share, in the hopes others might share a picture of their
outdoor tranquility....a seat with a view.....

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

But movable chairs are the best kind, as one meets new people and never ending new views!

Folding chairs and kayak seats update in Louisiana:

Critters update:
Saw some birds (kingfishers, great blue heron, black vultures, Mississippi kite, blue jays).
Did not see any gators, snakes, or turtles last Sat. Maybe they all washed downstream in the recent floods??

Awesome view! You have a truly special place there....Part explorer...one never knows whats around the bend....shifting beaches, and great, healthy wildlife!

I have other chairs, other than the front....several in the back, but sad that a 100 plus year old Pine was hit by lightning and died.
This weekend, it took large cranes to take down.
It was a favorite view from my back, being the tallest tree around.

Roosting and resting through the years saw several Bald eagle nests, dozens of different hawks, and huge owls.

All gone now, so Ill need to move my chairs!

Do you have any recent before and/or after pics showing your view looking out that you care to post?

Between my house and the little park in town there was a very large pine tree on the Catholic church property that got hit by lightning last year and got a large long crack down the trunk and had some sap oozing out. Anyhow, I kept an eye on this tree for over 6 months and the neeedles stay green for months. Then in early Spring it quickly died, and was cut down a couple months ago.

Sorry, I dont.....The before would have been nice, of course dead, it was all Brown, like in a week, and now empty

Im guessing you made the pond?

Yeah...still planting plants around it...fun project....

There is water most everywhere in Louisiana.
Thousands of bridges over lakes, rivers, bayous, creeks, swamps, and marshy areas. Different situation in southern Cal.
I'm sure people are better at conserving water and using it sparingly in California compared to here in LA.

I quickly built some furniture for my enclosed patio 2 weeks ago. Then I wired up a new fan and installed a TV. Stained the sectional to match the floor.

My family is now hanging outside 10x more than ever.

Happy 4th!

So I don't have a chair out here, unless you count the bench by the tee area, but this was technically taken in my back yard. We have a couple of golfers that come out early every day, and one of them shot this picture heading up my 5th fairway. Pretty cool picture.

Are you still sitting in your chair sometimes, since all of the hurricane mess and repair troubles?

Blessed to have such beautiful mountains. Funny thing is we are so overpopulated here, but the mountains are wide open. Sitting on top of a mountain at an elevation of 11,506 can really help relax my soul. Picture taken on the way up yesterday. Sad it doesn't capture what the eye really sees.

Having a blast in Nashville, visiting my daughter. Mid 70s, and a stunning Autumn day.
Love the hills and the foliage.

The architecture and homes are so unique!

The eye candy is a joy too!

The views from the chairs here...

There are some really nice and relaxing spots posted here. Here’s mine, a summer trailer park/camp sites on the St. Lawrence river. I tend to work a lot when I’m there, but when I can sit down on the porch, have a cold beer, and watch the sunset, all worries fade away. Thanks for this thread.

An aerial view of where my chair resides. Hopefully I will be able to tell the same story when I retire. Good neighbors, friends, conversations, and drinks are had all summer long while sitting in or by the pool.

Oldpinguy,
Hurricane Michael hit in the FLA panhandle, but i see that the tail w/ a lot of moisture is over FL. Are you getting heavy rain?

How is it going for other Pinsiders in FL, GA, SC?

In Orlando, we had gusts to 50 MPH, and bands of Rain.
The Panhandle saw major destruction....Tomorrows vids should share a lot.
Sadly, in the news these come and go.
Plenty of People in bad shape in the Carolinas, and here, We just finished sheetrock, from last
years Hurricane!

Still nice to see this thread, and I now sit in my chair, and meditate every morning as my meds kick in!
