Quoted from LTG:

That's the hard part.
Do you want the standard, or bigger screen and saucer LED show and longer warranty, or bigger screen, more saucer LED show, mirror blades, topper light show and two more saucer LED show up there too, and the big martian hopping up and down, and longer warranty.
LTG : )
Disclaimer : The fall industry show in Chicago when the original AFM was shown, people really loved the Martians hopping up and down. Now 22 years later we get the big one hopping up and down too.

We first saw this game at TPF and loved it.
However when we found out CGC was making the games it did not exactly instill confidence in us.
As an arcade owner we have had nothing but trouble and rude tech support with their Redemption games division. So much so that we vowed never to buy another Chicago Gaming game.
But once we found out that Loyd is the tech support for this particular title, all that went out the window. We are in line for an LE and are super excited to be getting one. We talked to Loyd directly at TPF and were very impressed with him (As everyone on Pinside surely is), as well as the rest of the company guys on hand.
While we still will not by another game from the redemption division, the Pinball side looks to be rock solid.

but will promise to continue to share information when it is meaningful.

No meaningful info in a week?

Now that is an update.
Take notice Stern, this is how it is done.
Thanks Doug, really looking forward to my LE.

Anxiously awaiting my email from the Game Exchange to send final payment.
This game is looking amazing.
And that shop is the cleanest ever.

#318 6 years ago

Just emailed Pinnovators and they said no one from CGC or Planetary has approached them about a headphone jack system.
Is that something you guys may consider or is one already built in the new system that I have just not read about yet?
I have Pinnovators in all my games and would love one in this game as well some day.

#353 6 years ago

What happened to Stern making MMR's at their facility?
I still see MMR cabinets sitting around in their walk through the factory vids.
Pretty sure they still had Playfield's in a recent one as well.

#372 6 years ago

So hoping I am in the first batch of LEs.
Very excited to be in on this great remake.

#374 6 years ago
Quoted from stpcore:

I was told by a distributor yesterday that CGC is finishing up the SEs this week and then onto the LEs. I was also told that CGC is awaiting on parts to finish the toppers and that even though some LEs may be completed that they will not ship until the toppers are completed. Finally, I was told that CGC has not confirmed shipping numbers to any distributors as of yet so that it would be difficult to speculate where anyone falls in line (first or second batch) regarding their preorder.

Thanks for the info.
Hoping that The Game Exchange gets a lot of games.

#409 6 years ago

The latest video that Stern posted a few days ago showed MMr still in production.

#436 6 years ago

Love reading Dougs updates.
Keep em coming.

#450 6 years ago

Certainly exciting to see this thread on fire.
Wish I had my email for payment. But very excited for you guys that did.

Quoted from CGC_DougS:

• Once started, we will focus only on LE’s until all have been built.

OMG.
Doing the happy dance as I type.
This is awesome news, and I can't wait for my LE.

How many AFMr owners does it take to install a topper?

#581 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

We have 3 Avail at this time. Goes up and down depending on the day, People order others cancel or change to an SE to get it now.
JJ

No Change here. Go ahead and send my LE as soon as it arrives.

#601 6 years ago
Quoted from Azmodeus:

Really though I am saving my freaking penny's. It's all good. I have found the hunt to be an enjoyable part of the game.

Kinda the same thing here now.
I had all my money saved up. Then 4 pins just dropped in my lap that I could not pass up.
2 EM's for $200 each.
An F-14 for $500. (Real project, but it boots up.)
And a Solar Ride for $700 that looks like the day it came out of the box. Even had Invisiglass on it which I did not find out until I got it home.
So Now I am having to slowly save up the 1600 I just spent. lol.

#653 6 years ago
Quoted from stpcore:

I PM'd him on this as his original post could be interpreted a couple different ways. Today he confirmed that after around 500 AFMLEs they will put MMr on the line for a run of 250 before finishing the last 500 AFMLEs. He messaged me this morning on this.

A bit sad again. But oh well, it is what it is.
His sentence on page 10 clearly said will build all LE's.
But I can see how he may have been typing too fast and left off the 500 part.

I Shipped 8 today
JJ

Wow.
Sure wish i was on that list.
Congrats to the lucky 8 though.

#945 6 years ago
Quoted from centaurian:

My distributor wasn't sure so this is good news.
I'm the same non numbers matching mean green LE waiting to pay balance

Same here.

Come on JJ. Beaumont, TX. needs a new AFMrLE Green.
We will also be live streaming our game on Twitch as soon as we receive it.
www.twitch.tv/thepinballmafia
But I am afraid of how far down the list we may be.

#959 6 years ago
Quoted from PinballHog:

I heard they were selling them at Service Merchandise. Lol!

That's even better. No cart needed they just send it out on the large roller system.

Quoted from markp99:

How odd! I have the same exact issue.

Hey, wait a minute here.
I have the same problem.

Quoted from Nexyss:

From what I remember from the updates in this thread, they are going to make AFMrLE through the end of this month, then switch to MMr for 4 weeks, then finish the AFMrLEs starting in October.

My vote is keep making all LE's then do MM.
But I may have underlying reasons.

#1083 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

2 New In Box Left In Stock For SE's
LE's October ish for new orders

But I want my LE now.

Thanks for the Update JJ.

#1102 6 years ago
Quoted from evh347:

I'm a CGC fan for life now after owning my AFMr SE since July. The machine is incredible. I'm so thankful that they've chosen to reissue these classics with the upgraded tech. I have no regrets and I've had no issues with it after over 500 plays. I'm all-in on a MBr or a CCr (would have to be w/ completed code or I'd not consider it), but between the two I'd rather have a MBr.
I'm hoping that there are still a few MMr's available on this 'last run' by the end of winter. I'd love to add both to my collection eventually. Oh well, fingers crossed.

Plan on MB then because they have said CC would be original code if made. Which would be a shame as that game really deserves to be finished. Original game is just ok.

#1111 6 years ago

Should be about time for CGC to pop in with another update.
All three AFMr threads keep me busy looking for new post.

#1121 6 years ago
Quoted from ovfdfireman:

I just shipped my first batch of non matched games yesterday. So dealers are getting them.
Greg M
Pinballpro.com

Hey CGC,
Send The Game Exchange some non matching serial LE's please.

#1125 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

Lol they already did. Problem is we had so many matching games we only got 3 Non =(

Yea.
Just trying to help you and me out at the same time. lol
If they build a few extra maybe you will get some more.

#1130 6 years ago

Keith Elwin is posting on Facebook how he can't hit any of his shots on this remake.
Saying it "Plays like video pinball".
And that it's "Definite Latency"

Just got my final payment request for my non-number matching Green LE. FYI, I put my down payment on opening day 3/24, thought this day would never come.

Awesome. What distributor?
Still waiting to hear from Game Exchange.

#1279 6 years ago
Quoted from abagwell:

Just got my email as well, put my deposit down in early April, excited!

What distributors are getting games?

Glad you guys are getting emails but who are they from ?

#1296 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

Going to start sending final payment emails next week to my next 10 guys
JJ

Oh please, oh please, oh please.

Only I will be at IAAPA all next week.

#1302 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

Pm me your name and I can look it up for ya
JJ

PM Sent.

Number #12
I just need two people to get cold feet or not pay attention to their emails.

#1306 6 years ago

Got my email today from JJ.
And while there is a small issue as to where my deposit money went , we will be mailing off a check when we return from IAAPA this weekend.
Very excited.
Even went ahead and snuck in a game here at the show.

#1353 6 years ago

Wow. That is big news.
I thought something was up because we have ours turned all the way down and still were getting balls flying off the lock return rail.
Had no idea it might fry something though. Glad you guys cautght this and can’t wait for the update.

#1370 6 years ago
Quoted from sirlonzelot:

Can someone check for the cow video mode, please

We just got it the other day.
I'm not sure if you have to do both ramps or just get so many moos from pressing the launch button.
But is does work.

Got my chip in the mail today.
Install went well but the rubber band used to hold the chip in the holder busted in shipping so some of the pins on the chip were a bit mangled.
Straightened them with a needle nose and installed it.
Seems to be working great so far.
Set flipper level to -4 like most have suggested and it plays like a dream now. No more airballs all over the place.

#1448 6 years ago
Quoted from Gexchange:

If I t gives you any grief let me know and I will get you another chip

Thanks JJ.
So far it is rock solid.
I have been messing with IC chips for years. It was not a big deal for me to get the legs back straight.
Just glad I got it instead of someone who is new to all of this.
