BAH! I'm a little thankful. A little disappointed.

I'm sure Chicago Gaming Company (edit) and Planetary Pinball are doing just fine.
They cranked out an amazing remake of AFM. Sold many many MMRs.
The AFMRLE was simply off the hook. Next release has to compete with that.
They are simply being cautious there really is little room for error.
Not sure how many of us know what's going on with all the pinball properties licensing right now.
People trying to protect themselves, assure quality and future of pinball. These remakes are a big deal.
Quoted from o-din:Except Chicago Coin went out of business in the 70s, but yeah, beside that, just fine.
Edit - To many things going on today.
What games have the most commercial viability these days.
They've already said they are considering some of these .
Monster Bash - ( Speculation is next )
Cactus Canyon ( Will this really sell - the game is well . meh )
Tales of Arabian Nights -
Cirque Voltaire- ( Possible Viable ?
Theatre of Magic - ( Possible Viable ?
Kingpin -
Big Bang Bar-
CFTBL ( Possible Viable ?
Funhouse ( Possible Viable ?
BOP ( Possible Viable ?
The Adams Family ( Probably impossible to happen )
Medieval Madness (Done)
Attack From Mars (Done)
As they say good things come to wait.
I wonder if the upcoming Monster Bash Remake has cause anyone else to pause on other purchase.
It has me frozen in my tracks. Part of me wants to get Deadpool on locations. The other part of me wants
to wait things out and see. There can only be one ( Disney Vacation Won out over Iron Maiden LE this summer )
Hopefully they offer the same deal to AFMRLE and MMRLE owners they did last time. I want a matching #
Quoted from flynnibus:So it's more than just 'waiting' - for CGC it's a window of opportunity that is challenged by other product on the market.
The only challenge Monster Bash remake is going to face is dropping prices of originals. If the Topper is as killer as rumor suggest then there will be zero competition. AFMRLE was off the hook. I Plan on getting a matching MBRLE. Then I'm done with this NIB craze.
Short of a JAWS themed pinball machine. There is nothing NIB on the horizon that I would buy.
I was hoping they would do an unveil at Chicago Pinball Expo. Would be really disappointed if it wasn't but won't stop the inevitable purchase.
I've had to stop buying whatever Stern throws at me to divert me from supporting this. Either way it comes down now to Monster Bash or JJ POTC
Quoted from Yelobird:Not your financial advisor but if you have a nice MB already in the stable this will be like throwing money out the door to see if the wind is blowing. The target audience for this release is to those that can’t Get a MB in reasonable condition. You will Not be raising the bar of your collection with this purchase. Simply burning capital. Just an opinion.
The Remakes take the original game and offer a slightly new spin on the old classic. I disagree in several regards.
What I will agree to is that. That the original game will be easier to maintain for the time being. ( Serviceable parts aand lights )
My experiences with the new CGC games has been dependability for the most part. I don't see it as a waist of money by any means
Considering this is a leaked photo taken out of context of initial release. Consider a prototype. I have no idea if this is real, fan creation or indeed prototype. Looks cool to me. Now the long wait. I wonder if they have ran production on cabinets or any pieces in advance of the release to shotgun this thing.
What does it matter if Doug left or not? People come and go from companies everyday. Holy crap I see people come and go every 3 months in my industry. Doesn't mean a thing.
I have a verbal agreement on Monster Bash and waiting for the Locked In status.
Getting a bit anxious.
