Welp, this somewhat ruined my day, had the cash ready to go. Now my wife will spend it on dumb crap.
Quoted from Packerjeff:
Talked to someone definitely "in the know" yesterday. While they wouldn't confirm (of course) which game it was, they said that if you thought the AFMLE topper was cool everyone will be blown away by the topper on the new game. Dancing monsters?
Here is a sneak peak
Quoted from whitey:
Stern taking over ? My Attack LE is near perfect
My MMR I sold 2 weeks after getting it and kept my original. All these crazy ideas ?
I had the opposite experience my MMr LE has been flawless my AFMr LE had flippers so strong that I was afraid they would break something and turning them down seemed to make it worse.. this issue also seemed to cause excessive dimpling of the playfield.
Quoted from gunstarhero:
Yeah but that’s exactly my point, code won’t make the game harder, and even if you remove posts and what not that’s just how MB plays. Plus no one was calling for new code on MM or AFM, and those are games Lyman did before MB.
Cool game for sure tho. Can’t wait to see the remake. I think the new display graphics will be worth the price of admission.
Put lightning flippers on the game if it’s too easy.
Quoted from delt31:
I personally am disappointed that it doesn't really do anything extra. Am I still pumped? Yes. How can you not be attracted to a brand new MB but considering all of the possibilities, the topper is disappointing (AFMr crushes it), the ball in the back left is a throw away to me and so on.
Bottom line is the juice felt on these boards is simply people seeing a brand new MB being offered with some nice add ons for a GREAT price considering the used market. What could have been though......especially if that dual code thing turned out to be true.
To me the color changing RGB LED GI is a bigger deal than any topper.
Quoted from flynnibus:
Tom is thinner. It has more variety in its modes... but really nothing interesting besides doing vanish to get another ball in mb. The rest is just play multiball... and play a mode just to mark the checkbox.
At least mb has more strategy and risk reward with stacking the modes and multiballs... and the goal of getting the mode finished for monsters of rock. Plus choices about how to use mosh pit mb.
Tom you can just drone on... mb at least has some risk reward.
Also MB has the “Big 6” monster stack which is very difficult to achieve!
Quoted from ShinyBall:
