I find it interesting that people say they have "heard" different games from various sources, who are in-the-know.
Either the sources are wrong or they are spreading misinformation; which I can't understand in either case.

Quoted from Rdoyle1978:It’s the Pinside telephone game - somebody says they think it’s X, tells somebody else, now it’s “I heard it from so-and-so”
I asked one dealer if he knew about the next game. He said he knows but is sworn to secrecy.
I have no reason to doubt him, so I assume, perhaps incorrectly, that at least some dealers know what it is.
In the various posts about game 3, at least 3 posts say they have heard from someone in the know...and it is all different games.
Maybe people get enjoyment about spreading rumors they know are incorrect.
This mystery is sort of like dealing with children.
Robert
Quoted from LTG:I am in the know.
And it is with a heavy heart that I must let the world know that game #3 isn't Punchy The Clown R
I want my $1000 deposit back then...
Robert
Quoted from Bearcat:They must be be updating the game code, right?
Well if this is the case, maybe they don't want to have to send out a thousand or so new chips with updated code...so they wait.
When I had an AFMr, they had to send out new chips to put in games which is both costly and fraught with questions and issues with people who don't know how to change out the chip.
It does seem like a long hold up though since TPF, almost 2 months, for an coding issue to be addressed. Sounds like tweaking the code (if this is the issue) broke the code somewhere else, so the original plan had to be rethought out.
Anyway, it's all speculation and in a few weeks or so we will probably know a bit more about the real story.
Robert
Quoted from JJHLH:I didn’t get the impression it had anything to do with licensing, but more likely mechanisms and/or code.
LTG has said previously that the delay is not due to licensing.
Robert
Quoted from PinScott:Unfortunately it was probably just a typo.
It comes from a typo in a post on Pinside a long time ago.
Not sure if it was Derek or MrPinball (or someone else) that made the first typo of "great" as "greta" (as in it's a greta game); but it has stuck around as sort of a joke.
Perhaps Lloyd can add more to its origin.

Well the next shows where an announcement and game demo could be:
Cal Extreme: 7/28-29
Indiana: 8/9-11
Then: Saratoga, Cleveland & Vancouver...which takes us into September.
Robert
Quoted from CrazyLevi:When did pinside become convinced that games can only be announced at shows?
Just saying, as that was the original plan.
Robert
Quoted from LTG:And I'm no longer sorry for giving hints so people could connect the dots to figure things out without getting me in trouble.LTG : )
What was that second dot again...
Robert
Quoted from LTG:then licensor approval
Jeez...how could they possibly get this far into the process without license approval?
Just about everything else could be overcome fairly easily..CE/UL approval, software glitches, parts made incorrectly or parts late, but licensing, that's a killer.
Robert
Quoted from MrSanRamon:but licensing, that's a killer.
Well I guess that it could be a monster bash with different monsters...sort of
Quoted from LTG:The license holder wanted to see the finished product before signing off ?
I suppose it could be anything, but if the "new" art is identical to the "old" art what could be the issue?
The only issue that comes to mind is the Topper...there wasn't one before, so now we do have new art.
Robert
Quoted from MrSanRamon:Well I guess that it could be a monster bash with different monsters...sort of
Quoted from LTG:No. LTG : )
I meant it could be "Monsters Bash" with new monsters...just joking LTG.

I'm trying to keep track (via a poll) what people are buying. Feel free to add your info there.
Robert
I'm attempting to keep track of orders for the MBr here:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/monster-bash-remake-mbr-owners-club
There are certainly more that 88 Pinsiders that have ordered an MBr, so go there and add your info if appropriate.
Thanks.

I was told that my LE (#34) would ship last week, but I have had no notification from a shipping company.
I hope it works out better than the AFMr I bought. First shipment the cabinet was forked. Second shipment the topper was smashed...kept the game sent the topper back. Third shipment of the topper was by UPS...got here in good shape.
Hopefully I will get notice next week of a pending arrival.
