Wouldn't even surprise me if they bought out CGC / Churchill.
Their reason for denying Farsight a license extension (at any cost) has to be to do with wanting the whole pie, and / or controlling their IP much more tightly - which would make sense if they intend to either take control of or make more cash out of the physical stuff.

Licensing might be an issue.
The virtural tables are taking a hit at the end of the month and the party is over for PPM. Not even able to sell them anymore. You have till June 30th to buy and download all 77 of there tables.
The 3D translite guys in germany are at a stand still with no communication and permission to finish the 3 they have ready to go. PPS is running out of these now not restocking. Just checked, only MM is no longer for sale, but stock is low.
There has also been a stand still and almost no new product from PPS.
I see a bigger problem with no proof, however the stars are lining up and the future of parts is starting to look grim again.

Agreed, i should clarify.
Anything metal, mechanical and playfield and cabinet parts are healthy, and not going anywhere.
Plastic sets, cabinet decals, translites and anything with licensed images could be in danger.

Doug is moving to Stern and he had a good relationship with Scientific Games. FarSight has lost the Williams rights for Pinball Arcade. Stern has been hiring programmers left and right. Stern will develop their own video simulations from now on, wanting to cash in on that slice of the pie themselves. Additionally, they have not only obtained the Williams rights for simulation, in one fell swoop they obtained full Williams rights including those to build physical games. Rick is reeling from this coup. He's attempting to play hardball with the only leverage he has: not releasing MB, thus no royalties to SG, unless some compromise is reached. His position is weak though, and CGC is also scrambling because of all their investment to build machines going unused. They are switching focus to Capcom titles which Circus Maximus has the rights to, and the line is being switched over for King Pin production.
pkiefert is just trying to throw us off the trail of what is obviously going on!

Conspiracy theory and observations;
GAME 3 delay.
3D Translites thread mentions no communication 3 months. They are dead in water without approval, with finished product and investment gathering dust.
PPS and Rick , also silent with no communication or updates on many long awaited parts, many said that were in production. Only new stuff on website for months is from other developer's and makers.
VR Tables on Bally Williams pulled.
Yet, CPR and mirco or full steam ahead. Maybe thats because licenses are in limbo and there international status gives them free range for awhile.
So, ill just have to wait many years for my cactus canyon.

Well, it will fit, but your going to tear up plastic at rear. You would need rope, because tail gate will be up the whole trip home. Everytime you hit a bump, tailgate will slam on machine, so bring packing blankets.

Kinda the way its been for years. Expo Chicago was always famous for this. Granted, weve drifted from this the last 5 years or so. But lets face it, shows are were there touched and played the first time. Unless its Batman66 and you just look at it.

Mine never leaving. Remakes will be available for years to come. At this rate it would be 5 plus years before they get to it, if ever.
I'm pretty sure at this point they are waiting to make sure every distributor has at least 20 in warehouse before the release.
