Possibly the best idea I have read in this entire thread, would love to see this added into the remake.

Can’t wait to see the official reveal Lloyd as MBr will definitely be a must buy.

Just about everything else could be overcome fairly easily..CE/UL approval, software glitches, parts made incorrectly or parts late, but licensing, that's a killer.

From what I understand, the game needs to get the green light from Scientific Games. The same was the case with MMr and AFMr.

I'm sure they've been in contact with the licensor throughout this process, they aren't just going to work for months and hundreds (1000s?) of man-hours on the risk of the licensor saying scrap and start over at the very end of the process.
Any changes, regardless of how minor they are perceived, need final licensor approval. You add an extra eyelash on a piece of plastic and it must be approved. I'm hoping that the final approval does not take long to sign off and start production.
I agree with many that this has taken longer than expected, but I think we'll see a very nice game in the end.
MMR was approved by WMS and Roger Sharpe (http://www.planetarypinball.com/pps-mmr-wms-legal-approval-recieved/) and that took a while too. Just by looking at the MMR development process you get an idea on how long these things might take

Correct. WMS existed as a subsidiary for a few years after Scientific Games purchased them. However, as of 2016, they have been completely absorbed and exist now only as a label.
Same for Bally Technologies.
All of them are Scientific Games now.
