Don't think I can get that excited about a MBr. I had minty beautiful one circa 2005 and played the sh*t out of it. I wasn't sad to move it on really when I did about 8 months later. It's a pretty machine no doubts at all, just don't think I need to revisit it the way I have with AFMr. Same goes for any potentional CCr and probably more so.
Quoted from KingPinGames:Just to clarify a bit. If the do the same as afmr then it will be
Ce = classic edition
Se = special edition
Le = limited edition
For comparison for other companies it would be
Base model
Cgc classic edition (ce)
Stern pro
Jjp standard
Midrange
Cgc special edition (se)
Stern premium
Jjp limited edition (le)
Top range
Cgc limited edition (le)
Stern limited edition
Jjp collector edition (ce)
As a distributor for many companies it does take some time to remember the different acronyms.
I'm excited no matter what then release!
I would have to disagree with CE description..... Unlike the Stern pro or JJP standard it does have all the features and toys and code that the game was meant to have.
Its just the bling its missing.
Quoted from NeilMcRae:Ok so who wants to buy an original! LOL
there's always going to be someone who prefers originals over remakes.
Quoted from Chuckwebster:there's always going to be someone who prefers originals over remakes
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Spent a lot of time restoring mine (“Resto-mod”) I’m not selling but I am curious about the remake!
And it looks Awesome!
Quoted from TKDalumni:*cough* ColorDmd *cough*
LOL it’s temporarily taking a vacation in another game, I haven’t put it back in yet after the restore

JJP standards have all the code and all the toys as well. They typically just don’t have the shakers, powdercoating, and invisiglass (bling). The Stern pro has gotten better as well, although they do still leave out some features. I think the comparison was fair enough. It’s the old “good, better, best” sales model.
I’ve read this thread and others, but haven’t found recent knowledge/opinions on whether the CD image will continue to corrupt the playfield.
I’m in regardless, but inclusion would take MBr from an 11 to an 8 For me. It’s the details...
Glad to see this is finally happening, MB is a great game and I miss mine that I sold a few years back. Maybe it's time to get a new one
I can't believe though that CE/UL approval has been holding this back, same thing delayed MMR many months so you'd think they'd know the process by now and not let it delay things...

The playfields in the background of some pictures recently still had the CD.
Nice , i got some good feelings today and sent a mail to the Swedish distributer and orderd a game in "blind" , told them i like one when the come out if its now or later.
So nice to read this now , looking forward to se som pictures and unpackig the game.
This is my very favorit one !!!!
Quoted from JoeHog:Prices anyone?
I would think close to MM - anyone remember what the prices for those were upon release?

If they're going the three level route again, more like AfMr. SE $6,500, CE $7,300, LE $8,000. But I wouldn't be surprised at a 2-4% bump in price. All the cool kids are doing it.
Quoted from whthrs166:Oh boy hold on to your ass cheeks!
No call for that yet. They priced the AFMR good. And from CE to SE to LE, each $700 going up got you a lot more stuff. After the price is announced, then complain away.
LTG : )

I heard same pricing as afm

Afmr was always cheaper than MB so I think the process will be a little higher more like mm. We'll see.
Based on prior remakes when were the games actually available after announcement? I believe it was quick right?
It sounds like they are going to try and ship almost right away. They we’re talking about building sub assemblies already

I’m sure with the delay they were able to move forward quite a bit - it may be quite soon!
Quoted from whitey:With the remake announced ??
Whats a really nice original worth ?
Full leds , color dmd ,???
Depends on mbr prices and features.... but 7500-8500 for a very nice modded original sldnt be a issue imo
Quoted from Pdxmonkey:I heard same pricing as afm
Let's hope! I cant wait to see the pics and info on what they added.
I just got an email that said pricing should be similar and that serial number match program should be available. In for MBLE.

Similar but not the same ...which means at least a 250.00 increase across the board imo...

Yeah, we all knew what the next CGC remake was going to be but the delays, the secrecy and silence, the loss of Doug to Stern put doubts in everyone's mind of what was happening. Will it happen, what is going on at CGC ???
So it's good to see CGC is releasing their 3rd remake. It's really perfect for the industry. It exciting and good for us all.
I'm going to make an educated guess and say that with the enormous amount of moving parts in MB, the delay was to ensure the moving parts were superior to the original. I know, on the surface, the MBr will look identical to the OG but underneath will be soooooo improved (like the other two remakes).
Anyway. I have room for one more pin in my arcade and this might be it.

Whats improved on the hardware/moving parts ? I believe they are the same used on the original ?

Besides 20 years newer parts. nothing we know of, yet.
Depending on model, a chance we may see shaker motor integrated with game play, better audio, speaker lights, bigger display, mirror blades, kick ass topper. And maybe more.
All depends on which model you buy, and if there are any surprises.

I guess real plasma balls in the mad-scientist area of the PF this time would be a little too much for UL to have swallowed...

Those original parts have lasted this long, i doubt they are gonna break now.... im more worried about the quality of metal components this day in age truefully.

I hope so as this will be a huge step fwd for future remakes also. If there is one issue with some of the b/w titles it was the limitations of the amount of code at the time.

I agree. Updated code would be a game changer and likely help sell more units. Fingers crossed.
