Hi there,

Occasionally since yesterday my CFTBL right flipper is unresponsive. First thing I did today was to clean the optos. However, when it happened again I went straight to the flipper coil tests.

L HOLD works fine
L POWER works fine
R HOLD works fine
R POWER doesn’t work

However, when I exited the tests, it works again for a while!

So I went back into the tests and set it to repeat the R POWER test. Wasn’t working. Then I went back to R HOLD test and repeated that. That then seemed to free up the R POWER test and it worked - but every so often missed firing the flipper and then stopped flipping. Then I was able to get it working again by the exact same method of performing a repeated R HOLD test.

I love my CFTBL - so would really value some help on where I should check next. Many thanks!

Sounds like a loose wire on your solenoid. Check and make sure it's really well soldered to the lug.

Or the diode is broken off the coil, or one of the coil wires broke off of the solder lugs.

Thanks cadillacmusic - that’s exactly what it was! Now sorted.
