Quoted from GorillaBiscuits:

gunstarhero Update... I installed it no problem, but the cup is sitting up slightly too high and of course the optos are picking it up. It fires over and over since it thinks it's a ball.
Would the best course of action be to simply cut off a bit of the black end that the cup screws into? Not sure how far down the threads go. Adding washers under the entire mech wouldn't work as the optos would move down with the entire thing as well.
Cheers.

You can either:
Remove the rubber stopper on the bottom of the metal bracket if there is a LOT of room you need to move the plunger down, or
Slightly, SLIGHTLY bend the bottom metal bracket down some to get it to sit lower.

Nevermind what I said, then!

Effectively it was just "who printed the playfield".

Quoted from JustEverett:

I heard mention on a podcast that there were two different versions of CFTBL made, one a hot pink and one a pale pink. I've been trying to find information about the two versions or distinguish from pictures with no luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Quoted from Fifty:

The pinball.center one is a remake. It is missing the part number.

Note that just because it is missing the part number does NOT mean it's a repro. Depending on which company printed the batch of plastics, and the artwork they were sent, it's entirely possible that OEM plastics did not have the individual numbers on them.

Case in point, the one you have has "SP" on it, which means your plastic set was printed by Sun. Sun did this on all their plastics (even TZ), while others may not have.

Quoted from Gorgar1:

Probably a stupid question lol but why did Bally leave this gap in the timber rail? The gap does nothing so why not just have one length of timber. Always kept me guessing. [quoted image]

My guess is to prevent a ball trap.

Quoted from Zee:

Slam Tilt switch, attaches to the coin door to punish players who give a knee to the machine.

This. And to not accidently put a credit on the machine with a hard or good kick to the door. It mounts ON the door, depending on the maker, usually above the lock.

Quoted from Mellow:

On closer inspection I see the coil looks burnt. So I guess it expired. Should I still get DC voltage when I run a test on the coil?
[quoted image]

You should ALWAYS get voltage readings on both terminals to ground when the coil is NOT activated. When activated, one terminal will NOT have voltage to ground (the terminal with a smaller wire), the other still will (termainal with thicker wires).

Quoted from bakerhillpins:

Huh... is that like supposed to be in every WPC game? Cuz I've never seen one. Of course I don't think any of my games have even come with coinboxes.

Quoted from dmacy:

It’s on the plastic ones. I think they may the imported machines?

As far as I can recall, it was an option - when you ordered from your distributor, you could add an option for a 'locking coinbox' - that's what you got. You could also order the 'kit' later, and install it yourself.

Quoted from Pinbarclay:

Can anybody help me find the ejector button so I can get all the balls out of the machine and replace them? It’s not where I saw it in a YouTube tutorial.

There should be an item in the tedt menu, named "Empty Balls".
