It’s likely blowing when the creature lamp kicks on during multiball. Some after market halogen lamps use more current than the factory lamp and can trigger the fuse. Also if you are running additional mods off 12V unregulated, the total current with the lamp may be too high.

There are low power LED replacements for the lamp that can usually resolve the issue wothout the need to add an external supply.

Aside from the ColorDMD, I have a “move your car” Cadillac lighted mod. I also added some LED to the pop caps that are ponied off GI.

I don’t care so much about the hologram feature as it’s faded to all hell... so I disconnected the lamp and mirror motor.

Seems ok now but would like to reenable the hologram at some point. Just hate having the game down since playing it is a nightly ritual.

I believe the lighted Cadillac runs off the insert and flasher lamp supplies. Shouldn't affect anything on the unregulated 12V.

If you replace the creature lamp with an LED lamp, you should be OK.

Where can I find a replacement board for the Unlimited millions?

Might try to attach this Gillman light to the mirror motor in place of my burnt out hologram. Somehow figure out how to have it come on when multiball active. Like tied to the hologram light... probably with a resistor added.

Proud new owner of a CFTBL.

Did a full restore on the machine as it was in a sorry state when I got it.

Issues were:

Playfield ramps were broken with cheap 3D printed parts nailed into the playfield to add support...
Half the incadescents out and some lamp holders even missing
Playfield wear throughout the machine in the typical spots
Severe cabinet wear (chunks of wood missing from cab)

Spent the last month rebuilding the machine and getting back up to scratch.

Best project restoration I've ever done. Loving this game.

Just picked up my Creature last week. After 10 years and 40 games or so having never owned one. Love it! Love the movie too. I created an art piece to go with it. Has original 3D stand up that came with game, the center is autographs from Ricou and Julia, bottom is the large key fob. All mounted on 1/4” colored acrylic.

Thanks Scott, for the video, and especially for your other two videos that you have uploaded on your Youtube account about HolomodSP.

There is a comment that you make with which I agree 100%: a DMD, even if it is in Color, does not add anything to the game, basically because nobody is looking at the DMD while playing, but Holomodsp is in the field of play, where the user is constantly looking during the game, and being interactive, provides information about the state of the game, not only is it a visually attractive product, it is also a USEFUL product.

I play pinball very little because I don't have free time, but when I turn on the Creature, if I have the Holomodsp screen off, it just gets boring. I have the MiniScreen and another mod for the Creature in development, and the same thing happens to me, when I disconnect them for testing, I miss them, the machine simply becomes something cold, almost lifeless.

Starting to go over my list of to dos. Do mirror blades fit okay on Creech? Any recommendations?

I have put regular silver mirror blades in games and while they look good, they can be a bit too blingy. I use to make the black mirrors and sold them to a number of people who put them into games like Tron, Addams etc and a little less blingy but give a cool night time effect - reckon they would be perfect in CFTBL.

I have black, green, blue and silver blades on hand, I like black but not for creech. Silver or green imo.

It was one of my first ever restos, and about to redo it with some special touches, including green blades.

Have lots of mods already that need tweaking imo...more to come. Will post up when done!

Looks great! For some reason I’ve alway wanted to put gold blades in mine. I like the combo of green and gold and I still use incandescent bulbs so I think the warm how would reflect nicely.

Will have a new batch of Hidden Plastic Decals and Whirlpool Decals soon minus the watermark.

It's an amazing upgrade to this machine, the latest animations and colour of the display are fantastic.
