Quoted from swinks:

that is where you need the flower pot shaped rubber to the left of the snackbar hole as this deflects the ball so it doesn't go down the centre

I would welcome a pointer on this, I'm not sure I quite figure out what this is exactly

Quoted from Fifty:

The flower pot rubber will save you often, but not always. If you brick that shot then get ready to save your ball. I swapped out the nylon lock nut for one with a lower profile. It's the lock nut that holds the switch that the wire gate triggers. Located practically on top of the snackbar hole. It helped me a little, but ya, you need to get the aim down.

Likewise, I'm not quite sure I understand what it looks like... any picture / pointer ?

Thanks

Its just a post rubber that is much wider at the top than the bottom.

Here is a photo of the flower pot shaped rubber post that was mentioned in an earlier post.

Quoted from GRB1959:

That is pretty cool car mod with 2 sets of lights on the front. I have never seen that done before with any of the CFTBL car mods, but it is a very nice lighting effect.
Your car mod does not appear to be a Cadillac. It looks like a 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria as shown by my makeshift topper and the mod in my game.

Yes your right it’s not a caddy lol. Still very cool car all the same

Quoted from Ashram56:

Just out of curiosty, on my CFTBL the "Move your car" ramp is a killer if the ball fails to go through it all the way to the bumpers, and goes back down, it's a guaranteed drain between the flippers.
Is this a normal behaviour ? Can I reduce it somehow ?
Regards

I have this yellow rubber to stop SDTM works for me every time.

Ended up grabbing a set of these vinyl side blades for my creature think they look fantastic. I’m in Australia and there made in the UK so might have abit of a wait until they arrive but all good

I really like the look of these as well. I'm not a fan of the orange/red/purple sideblades that match the back panel. Make sure to take pics and post them here once installed.

#3858 2 years ago

The blades look pretty cool, but I'm not sure I like the woman as a red head.

Agreed, Julia Adams (later went by Julie Adams) was a brunette.

#3860 2 years ago

Yeah i noticed the red head to but thought oh well lol I still like the overall art

#3862 2 years ago

The new side art blades have been posted from England to Australia so I’ll post pics once fitted. Just hope they don’t get damaged on the super long journey

2 weeks later
#3863 2 years ago

Added the Art side blades today still not 100% sure on them but there way better than stock black. My PF is that tight I could barely fit the art blades in. I really wanted mirror blades but there’s no way I’d get them in. My color DMD has the women with red hair so I suppose there’s a link there.
Added a couple of shitty photos lol

I’m after a cool shooter knob for my Creature where’s the best place to buy one? I’m in Australia but happy to buy worldwide. By memory someone on here used to make various designs just can’t remember who

#3865 2 years ago

You can try this one

I have this one , it stares at your pocket though I bought it from a pinsider several years ago.

hey Pete, Brock use to make them but delivery is the risk and while his shooter was cool it is on the largish side - I had one and on sold it. Shapeways has free shipping until tomorrow but the catch is you need to spend over $99USD.

My whole game has LED’s but today I noticed when I hit the flippers or the ball hits the bumpers some of the leds behind the Backglass flicker not sure if that’s always happened or just started. Anything I can do to stop this?

Thx Peter.

Sell it - sorry Pete couldn't help myself

Edit: Has the flicker just started or you just haven't noticed it previously? Do you have OCD boards installed?

Lol Brett this masterpiece ain’t going anywhere Best one in Australia I reckon lol but I’m biased. I think it’s just started and thinking about it I swapped 2 flasher LEDs on the PF to normal globes could that have caused it? OCD board no where would I source one in Aussie or do I have to give America my money again :/

Nah I was just trying to understand what you had in yours as to what the potential issue might be. First thing I reckon is try pulling the 2 incandescent flashers you put in and see if the problem disappears. Let us know

This is probably the same thing that is happening to me. It's the flashers in the backbox that are coming on. I mentioned it a few pages earlier in this thread.

I put the LEDs back in and unfortunately the back box flicker is still there , not a huge issue really.

Probably a stupid question lol but why did Bally leave this gap in the timber rail? The gap does nothing so why not just have one length of timber. Always kept me guessing.

My guess is to prevent a ball trap.

#3878 2 years ago

It's incase the ball lands on top of the plastic. It will roll back and into the plunger lane instead of being trapped between the plastic and ramp. That's also why the bottom piece of wood is angled.

Cheers for that info I suppose they have to think of everything.

I've never had it happen or seen it happen. It probably happened one time when it was play tested and made it into the final design.

Hey Folks! So I just my my restored crecch at basically 100%. But I was having issues with my MRS switch triggering with the left sling... I rotated the MRS so the magnet sensor is towards the player and seemed to fix it. Anyone else experience this? Sonic did I miss something entirely possible.
Cheers

#3883 2 years ago

Nope - you did good...placement can be crucial - in particular you want to watch your leads to ensure they don't run near any coils - they can pick up EM pulses from those coils....and same for the coil itself (like the sling) to the business end of the MRS..it typically doesn't take much movement to make a difference....but what you experienced is rare.....next point, you bought that MRS a LONG time ago - are you seriously getting around to installing it now!! LOL!

Ok sounds good thanks for the knowledge! I know right. Well... I was waiting for the cabinet for over a year!! But now that I have my bowl leveled and the mrs in... holy smokes!!!! Like a different game. Still need some fine tuning as the ball taps the glass right before entering the bowl

Has anyone used these? there on eBay. I suppose the original game plastic goes over the top of the led flashes. To expensive for me to buy and ship to Australia but I like the idea.

Hey team.
Would anybody have a high res image of the original Bally topper for the Creech? I have a project I am working on and I'd love an image of the Creature and Julie as they appear on the playfield around the window but without the K-I-S-S and other lights obstructing them.

Well I did the full hologram package install tonight. Very smooth and easy. The only catch my 12 volts was like nope! So I got that external power supply with it and just tapped that into the service outlet. My hologram was blowing fuses so it was time. I used my original plastic window with the art work on it and looks great!
