Hello,

I picked up a less than stellar CFTBL the other night and as I've been replacing bulbs, I discovered that a few of the screw-in 555 sockets that fit in the playfield plastics are not working even after switching out the bulbs. I pulled the one board and replaced the diode, thinking that would fix it, but it did not. I have one board with 2 lamps out, and 2 more boards with 1 lamp out, each. I'm used to working on older Bally's, so I'm not sure what to check next for these particular lamps. Could it just be the black socket piece itself?

A couple other issues are with some standard 44 bulb sockets are not lighting even after cleaning the socket and replacing the bulb. Same as above, where might I look next to fix the feature lamps?

And the holy grail question: Where can I find a replacement hologram? HA LOL Yeah.....

Upon further investigation, I looked at the matrix and there was a row out. I traced that to the backbox connector and discovered 2 issues. A) The connector (with one wire) was also half connected to the connector immediately below it and B) The connector below it had a pin bent off to the side that wasn't even connected! I bent the pin back and made sure the wire was away from the connector and now the row works!

I did change a bad diode on one lamp prior to discovering the connector issue, but now it looks like I've got all lamps working!
