Bally, 1992When multiball is ready and you put a ball in the right lock, it shoots 2 balls in the shooter lane.
I tried a friends cpu board and the same thing happens.
I changed all the trough switches and diodes and trough kicker and it still happens.
Any thoughts?
Most likely one of the trough optos is not sensing. Have you tested them? You could also have through wear. Have you tried one of those trough inserts to see if that helps?
Trough does not have optos.
What do you mean?
They have switches with diodes which I changed them all.
Well are they working?
Changing them is fine but make sure they work right. Test them.
Also make sure you have 3 balls in the game.

I would have thought of the same thing “optos” I never knew this game doesn’t have optos in the through.

i had the exact same issue last month. everything tested fine. very frustrating. ultimately, i cleaned the trough guide very well w novus 2, then 1. problem went away. seems the next ball in line was taking too long to roll to the next switch. go figure!

That is what was the issue. Seems good so far.
