Really happy with how it looks & plays. The red rings blend into all the red posts/plastics and accent the touch of red used in the artwork. Now that I've done a couple pins with the TITAN rings, I realize how goofy the white rings can look. The colors on the TITAN rings are perfect. I did my TRON with light blue and it looks great as well. They also play great. I'm hopeful these rings will hold up well. The only downside with adding all these colored rings is having to stock so many sizes/colors!

Looks good Steve! Especially since you have that nice repro playfield, it's still pure white, and has good clear, really helps with the black/white/red aspect that you're bringing to the forefront.

Wow Snarof I love it! I think I might have to place an order...

Glad you like it! I see you also have a Paragon. I'm going to do my Paragon in Red this afternoon.

It's hard to see in the pictures above, but all the white rubber detracts from the white on the PF (since they standout more and draw your attention to them). The other downside is most of the white rubber I've bought from Marco is not bright white...

Badass! Nice job.

Wonder how another color star posts would look.....

Looks great. That's exactly how I'll be doing mine as well, just have to get one first

What are you using for the flipper rubbers?

#7 8 years ago

I'm a traditionalist and prefer plain white rings on my games. However I do like the look of those red rings on Centaur. Very nicely done.

That looks great. Titan doesn't have a rubber listing for centaur. Can you enter one?

Thanks Mike. The flipper rubbers are from Titan as well...an exact match with the bands.

fyi...I'm going to do Fathom in dark blue. The Titan blue is a nice match for the Fathom dark blue.

I hear you! I was very skeptical about the colored ring mod at first. After giving it a try, I'm impressed with the bounce, color and quality. I'm also surprised by how they improve the look of the PF (if you choose the right color and stick with it throughout). Like any mod, they can be abused...for example, I can't imagine introducing multiple colors (with the exception of posts).

I just hope they are durable.

Think I tried and had a problem. If I have some time later, I'll try again. The list is in the Centaur manual (online) if you want to order asap.

I selectively did my ACDC with red, white, and blue rubbers. I'll try and remember to take a pic.

Titans rings are bad ass, have blue on my TZ, orange on Kiss. Going to go green on IJ, orange on IJ4 and purple on MET, probably blue on Space Station as well. They have great bounce and easy to clean too. Nice job on the Centaur, looks amazing.

Hey Steve got any pictures of that Paragon in red? I've heard others have used green in Paragon. I'm wondering which would look better?

We'll find out when I get a CPR playfield...

Red rocks on Paragon. I'll snap a few pics and post them later.

As promised, here are a few shots of Paragon in Titan Red. I also replaced all the white fasteners with nickel plated fasteners. The nickel plated fasteners really look great on Centaur.

Here are pics of my Paragon and Flash Gordon. Did all red post caps. Also did red post caps and flipper rings on Flash Gordon but yellow rings otherwise. I have used blue flipper rings on Paragon and it also worked.2016-03-11_18.08.26_(resized).jpg2016-03-11_18.08.26_(resized).jpg

Decided to do GNR in green. Hard to see in the photo, but I think it works. So many colors in this artwork. The green ties in with the rose petals and snake.

Looks nice Steve. Hard to tell in the pictures, but it seems like the green rings are also pretty translucent? The green posts definitely look awesome on that game!

#21 8 years ago

That Flash Gordon looks awesome. Keep the pics coming! Need ideas for my games.

I was thinking your Centaur is too red, I wonder how it would look with white posts instead of red ?
