Quoted from Captive_Ball:Was an effort to go away from installing the live bread throughout the playfield...like below is standard for this era
I'm sorry I don't understand what a live bread is. Do you mean the ground?

My mistake on the bread word.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Plastics are mostly in place.
Clear posts are looking like a big winner here to give you real control over where to use red, and makes it easier to browse the hand-drawn art. Looking forward to the power-up. B/W pop caps really help not draw eyes to them unnecessarily.
Now the red has more "meaning" on the PF.
Thumbs up.

Quoted from MrBellMan:I would remove or replace the coin door decal. It looks great, but no way does Midway get mentioned with this Classic Bally masterpiece! Just my opinion of course...
Problem solved.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:Torn on the flipper guide combo down low.
Opaque Red or white?
I like the red better then the white. If you look at your field there is a good absence of red from the top of the field to the bottom besides your inserts. Having the flippers and the guides red match up with the top and it looks much imo. Guides up top are red so why have different color guides on bottom?
The owner of this machine should be ecstatic. Possible your best effort yet Chris; tons of extra touches in this project. Well done.

Yeah, I'm digging the clear posts. Not a fan of every single playfield color choice, but I'm taking notes for my eventual Centaur restore with a CPR white-top playfield.

Nice...
Any pics to demonstrate how you like to connect the BG to the BG frame parts? (stainless/plastic)

Your job is fantastic !!
But sorry to say that, this backglass is a repro from the 90's. An original have a complete blocklight art on the back to block the light and make the black blacker from the front and accentuate the contrast.
I also bought this repro in the early 2000's and sold it later for an original.
Quoted from High_End_Pins:coming soon
Black trim is quite nice to frame that PF.

What company was making repro Bally glasses in the 90s?

I'd take that glass all day long.
Congrats Chris. Stunning machine. I hope this motivates other customers to let you get more creative and breakaway from the traditional restos. It's nice to see something that's never been done. Well played.

I believe WMS was making various repros in the 90s, including Firepower.
Somebody definitely repro'd that glass at some point before CPR. I got my Centaur in 2009 and the seller included a new in box repro backglass. Installed the BG long ago, but I may actually still have the box somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up and check the return address.
Here is the finished game album.

Sorry i don't have this information.
There's major differences between them very easy to discern. I had both of them in hand a few years ago.

No big deal thanks for the info.
Whatever the case may be with this glass it was much needed for the project and I could not be happier with it.
I have a mirrored CPR here on hand for it as well but after comparing the two I preferred this one.
Gorgeous Centaur! Well done, as usual Chris. Love the customizations you do. Always in good taste. Congrats to the owner.

If I remember correctly Alan Meyer, there have been at least 3 different runs in the past 30+ years. There are various differences between all three runs. Not including the subcategory mirrored reproduction by CPR.
