A work of art - really. What a beauty!
So I will ask the question - what would a machine like this go for on the market?

I have absolutely no idea? I doubt David will be selling this one anytime soon though.

I would guess ~6.5K~ That thing is perfect, keep BangerJ away from it.
Quoted from mof:Brilliant!

Thanks, this was a fun project. I appreciate the complements.
Wow. Restos like this one and HEP make me feel like my OCD on them isn't so bad
Fantastic job. The people that do resto work KNOW the amount of time and attention to detail you put in here. And Centaur is a great pin so the owner should be thrilled.
you did a very very nice job, this is up there with the high end restorers.
attention to details is just amazing!!!
Quoted from Hellfire:Hmm did you get new 3 1/8" lane guides or are them original?
Original.

Cool thanks. That's the goal right
Quoted from Groucho:Nice work Mike!
Very impressive with the quality all round.
Can i ask....
The braid wire used for the GI lighting on the back of the backbox light board, is that the pin restore stuff or did you acquire it else where ?
That's the pin restore stuff.
Quoted from PinballMikeD:That's the pin restore stuff.
Thanks for the reply Mike and thanks for posting this thread.
I look forward to the youtube video for this!

Quoted from pinster68:Now that's a beauty. Any chance you'll share your custom cards for us Centaur owners?
I'll talk with Barb about it. I know she's mentioned doing some more cards for other machines. I'd have to have the PMD logo removed, shouldn't be an issue though.
Just an amazing job Mike!! I'd love a set of those custom cards as well! Please let me know if you'll be reproducing them.
For those interested, feel free to PM me and I'll get you in touch with Barb regarding the instruction cards. Not sure on pricing, so I'll leave that to her.
Quoted from pinballfan:congratulation!!!incredible...so nice! how many hours of work?what is your next restoration?
Too many. Honesty, I don't count. It's better that way. I've got a few games in queue (MM and TOM are next) as well as more CFTBL MODs.

Quoted from PinballMikeD:Finished game video added to first post. Hope you guys enjoy.
Nicely done, video does justice to all that work, that's one sweet looking machine now. In fact I'm hard pressed to think of a more deserving restore, that's really one of the best looking pinballs in history IMHO. Just such a bold, graphic look.
Quoted from doghouse:Exciting stuff. Thanks for posting!
Now we just gotta get the game to your house
I promise I won't play it too much in the mean time

I agree, centaur is a real looker. The artwork on games of this era is simply stunning. It's funny, doing this restoration has made me want to add an 80s machine to my lineup. Centaur was actually the first pin I ever played. I remember playing it when I was about 5/6 years old. I just remember the black and white artwork, it was captivating.
I'm thinking fathom would look nice
Quoted from pinster68:Centaur was my grail pin. I landed this HUO last year. Original everything, including the battery (thankful it didn't leak), 560 games on the audits. To me this pin has no equal. Nothing comes close.
How much you evaluate this pin ?
Quoted from PinballMikeD:Finally got some time to upload all the finished game pictures on to my website. Enjoy.
