That's insane. You can find nice examples of Paragon for less than that, which is the entire pin package.

True - but this playfield was more than nice - it was PERFECT. NOS and cleared. You just don't see any Paragon playfields like that anymore. Looking at the pictures made me drool.
I know I'll be buying the CPR reproduction when it's available - but I've heard it could be about four years away. I figure CPR will charge around 700 to 800. I was tempted to pay a little more than that if I could have got this NOS playfield now. ...but I wasn't going to pay over $1,000. Yeah, no doubt - that's a lot of money for just a playfield - but I don't think it's an insane amount for cleared NOS Paragon.
Quoted from Rossz:I'm in for one too.
Here's why:
Good lord! I'm assuming it wasn't you who did the notorious "black marker" touch-up.

Actually, the wide black area doesn't seem like a touch-up. It seems under the paint there a fine "brown layer" (see the girl's face, and under the "SPL" insert in the center), and under this fine layer it looks like it's already black.
I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's not a touch-up.
Getting back to the topic - I ended up buying the one that started this post so i'm out. Dont need two.
