When we were building the Houdini prototype, we were finally ready to start trying to play it, so we grab a bunch of balls from the factory where Magic Girls was being built, and drop them in. We start to play and we run into issues with the ball trough not properly moving balls through it and ejecting, we open things up, take it apart all looks good, but it is too tight. You obviously all see where this is going, not sure how long it took before we figured out that one of the balls was a bingo ball (why there was a bingo ball in the factory, is anyone's guess), and that extra 1/16 was enough to not let it move through correctly. I've kept the ball handy, never know when the opportunity to mess with someone will come up, but since I never knew it was supposed to be a bingo ball, guess I'll put it into my centaur.

Quoted from Heretic_9:

And PBR in NY would not have them either ?
(This is exactly the type of part that I normally try to get spares of.)
How common is it for these to break ?
Seems like these would apply to a lot of other games ? If so, wouldn't there be a substantial demand for them ?
If someone ever remakes them somehow, so that they are available once more, please post the info here.

typical they only break when removing the caps, problem is the “clips” are fragile on old games as the plastic has gotten dry and brittle. Pretty sure these were being remade at one point, as I picked up a couple back when CPR did their centaur playfield run to replace the damaged ones on my game when I did the swap. and pretty sure they were not old stock. Not sure how many games used them, I know I have a set for my EBD that I have yet to install. Hmm, wonder what haggis is using, given they are remaking that era Bally machines. Pretty sure fathom used that same style body/cap.

All I know is I have an original centaur, with a perfect or near perfect backglass, great cabinet, cpr playfield and plastics, new drops and less that $1500 into it and I have zero plans to sell it.

Don’t really care what Haggis centaur does to the market, but not happy they are insulting a classic by colorizing, adding RGBs, that horrendous topper, etc. — BAD MOVE HUMAN!
