Now that games are on the line and at least one game has shipped, it is time to have a club thread. Welcome to the Celts club Haggis game #1.

#3 2 years ago

I'll be patiently waiting for an invite to come play somebody's game

#4 2 years ago

Patiently waiting for mine. Plan is for this to be the only game I keep (been selling everything else off) since it is customized.

Celts no.1 owner competing on Hard Quiz (series 3 ep. 19) for the Aussies who haven't seen it. Expert subject pinball.

The owner of Celts #1 serial number game, known as Dr.John, was a contestant on a TV show named Hard Quiz that airs on the ABC.

I am still eager to see the promised game play stream by Dr John.
I watched Dr John go through the unboxing of game #1 and was excited to see the stream of the game a few days later.
Does anyone know if Dr John is still doing a stream or have I missed it?.
Not intended to be a swipe at Dr John or Haggis, Just eager to see some game play from an owner

#12 2 years ago

I did see a stream on some format a while ago but has now gone.
I asked dr. John and he mentioned code polish was required but overall he liked it( without going into details)
I believe you won’t see too much as It is a very personalised machine to the owner.
I had correspondence saying it is in production 2 weeks ago so presume she is close, who knows.
They haven’t asked for any more monies just advised on how, where to ship and balance owing.

#13 2 years ago

Video tour of factory and update posted to Facebook and YouTube today. Hopefully things will be moving forward soon. Dr. john’s gameplay video is still up in Twitch I think. He had some issues with the upper scoop coil strength. Hopefully they have added settings for that in the system. Game looks beautiful, though. I just hope code support continues despite the larger Fathom orders.

#14 2 years ago

Look what just showed up I’m my email!

“I’m very pleased to confirm your Celts pinball machine is currently in production and will be ready for shipping very soon.”

Woohoo!

Shipping takes 55 days? Wow…

#22 2 years ago

How many Celts are being made?

I’m happy that the Celts buyers are getting their games - and I’m eager for Fathom production to begin!

Maybe longer with the customs backlogs at ports now weeks to months long..

Yikes “Fast delivery to anywhere in the world” is on the front page of their website. Waiting on a fathom and closely monitoring the Celts rollout

Congrats. I wish I would have ordered one.

Faster by air (like 5 days?) but twice the cost.

I think the shipping arrangements they had for Celts are unique to that game. I believe fathom is set up differently

Fathoms are going to be shipped by full container to US distributor then will have domestic shipping from there. That was an option for Celts, but added up to be the same amount but longer wait because need to wait for full container. Options were be sea freight to US + domestic vs sea to door vs air to door. I’ve waited this long, so will save $1,000+ that air to door would add and accept the 55 days.

The situation is exceptional right now.. Hopefully delays in ports clear up soon or eventually..

I think they are making 50. I’m #19. Slowed by COVID lockdowns in AUS.

ship by air is cheaper, as by sea has huge inland charges

The quote Haggis gave me for air to door was 2x the sea to door quote.

Same for me, but that was a few weeks ago now, and my game should be soon to be built. But there are currently huge backlogs for shipping containers, and prices have very recently spiked for containers. I wonder if this will be reflected in the final quote I will receive when the game is built..

Wow was Kaneda rough on Haggis today!! But he did make a lot of valid points!! Something in my gut says Damion will do what he says!! Love Australia !!! Especially Kangaroos!!_

#42 2 years ago

kaneda Did you reach out and ask them directly?
I knew this before taking the ride, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Shipping today! Has a long but hopefully quick journey on its way from down under to Kentucky, USA.

#44 2 years ago

Played this game yesterday. They should be very proud of what they acheived.
Game has an outstanding feel of quality, everything from the sculpts to the siderails are exceptionally beautiful.
The gameplay is fantastic, only had a couple of games and didn't bother figuring out too many rules, but it plays beautifully and there is always a goal to choose.

Makes me very keen indeed for my Mermaid to come if the quality is anywhere near this level. Feels better than my Houdini which is probably my best 'quality feel' game.

Well fucking done Damian and team, you have smashed your first game like no other company i know.

Oooooh it’s fun

#47 2 years ago

Going to see if i can still order 1.

What type of scores are you posting mate? What's an average game and what's a good one?

Waiting for a response from Haggis about time frames for a Celts.

#50 2 years ago

FEDEX sucks. Two delays and now it is sitting for the whole weekend 3 hours away. Been there since noon and customer service and tracker all said delivery today. When it was getting late I called and they said “maybe Monday. No deliveries on Saturday.” That’s what I get for paying more for air freight. Should’ve taken the boat.
