Quoted from PPS:Never say never ... best to get on the list and if we see that everyone is on 10 different reseller list then things can open up ... contact [email protected]

Quoted from iceman44:Lol.
Hilarious.
Yeah it’s a tough call but if there is a CHOICE on CGC.
Oh... you gotta admit that was funny.
Quoted from wackenhut:How many LE's are being made?
LE = 1250
SE = unlimited for now
As someone mentioned earlier, a good scenario is to have a 24 hour ordering window for the top version machines. Everybody gets the opportunity to order and get a game. The factory and the dealers make guaranteed bank and the customers all win as LE amounts no longer matter.
Everyone wants a manufacturer to be successful and to make money, but I'm still scratching my head on some of the decisions here.
1250 sold out units @ $9250 = $11,562,500
Joe stated an overwhelming 500 inquires he couldn't appease. So possibly an additional $4,625,000 in sales left hanging out there. (could be much more or a bit less)
Are LE buyers more concerned about LE features or LE exclusivity? ( maybe a poll is needed)
The demand is very strong on this one and IMO, I'm not sure that more than 500 buyers would back out if production numbers jumped up.
Quoted from nicoy3k:The solution to this LE thing is simple. Make the time of the ordering window limited, not the number of games. For example, only allow two days to order your LE. Everyone that orders in those two days gets one, if you miss the two day cut off you’re out of luck.
Yep.
Just call it a TLE (Timed Limited Edition) and everyone is happy.
Quoted from jfh:Whatever the decision is I sure hope there isn’t thirty pages of bitchin’ in here about it …
C'Mon Dude, it's pinside
pepperspray-neverendingstory (resized).jpgQuoted from jfh:The train tracks are also listed as “Limited Edition Only”. I presumed that meant you can’t get them for other models.
The only issue I saw on the webpage were the photo errors of the track of the LE and SE. They both show tracks, but the matrix states tracks on the LE not the SE.
Quoted from Bublehead:Ok... here goes...
Topper mini game...
Strike the beer mug 10 times to qualify it...
When mode starts ball is trapped in scoop or return lane can't remember which..
There is a line of LEDs on bottom edge of topper... this lights up a single led dot that you can move left or right with your flipper buttons. In the windows of the town, characters light up signifying good and bad characters. Place dot in line with lit window and press both flippers to shoot. Hit only bad guys and it keeps playing... hit a good guy, mode ends. That's about it folks. The windows have skull and crossbones lit up when you hit the target. That was my experience at expo.
Thanks for confirming the topper mode. I just ordered an SE.
Quoted from seenev:I've gotten a lot of downvotes in this thread. I had one post that had a ton of downvotes, then a few pages later someone said the exact same thing and got a bunch of upvotes. It's one of the reasons I have to take a break from this site every once in a while. It's mass hysteria and it's not even consistent. I understand everyone's frustration here. I'm frustrated... But it's crazy how different everyone's reasons are for being upset. Some people are unhappy because they can't get an LE. A lot of LE buyers are unhappy because CGC offered to make the topper available.
I've read so many comments from the lucky people who got an LE order in for a great price whining about how unfair it all is that I'm really starting to question my place in this hobby. I feel like this has brought out the worst in some people.
I took a year off of Pinside and it wasn't that bad.
And for those that saw my previous post in this thread, I decided to pass on the LE offer and cancel my SE order. I decided it's better for me to wait until Lyman's code is in place and I play it before I commit to buy. If it's great I'll pay the market price at that time, but not before.
