I wonder if we should be holding them to that 4 to 6 weeks. Seems like everything gets pushed back lately. Getting very excited to hear more.
Quoted from northvibe:ugh....I'm so bad at making decisions but I think I'm gonna join the CCr train
Good decision!
Quoted from Concretehardt:I sure hope he is right, I would love to see the game!
Agreed! I don't want to get everyone's hopes up too high, so take it with a grain of salt. I am just very excited at this point!
Quoted from hiker2099:Man, CGC took too long. I have always wanted a Wonka and I put my payment down on it. Maybe I can still get CCR if it is in the lower price end.
Pricing is what I'm most curious about. Wasn't an AFM LE $8,500 not too long ago?
Quoted from MooButt:Jack Danger was coy about a mystery game he’s streaming tomorrow night.
K says there will be a press release by Monday about who is joining the team. Looks like no game reveal. I think we would all rather hear about the game itself instead of who they are hiring. My guess is game reveal by expo.
I just hope they release the game very soon. I don't want to have to wait until next year for Lyman to code the game, then release it. Just release it now, and I'll be happy with a code update next year sometime.
CCR Classic Edition = $8,000
CCR Special Edition = $9,500
CCR Limited Edition = $11,000
Just a guess...
Quoted from daveddd14:Little Shop of Games email tonight.
“Cactus Canyon Remake is coming!
Chicago Gaming Company's latest pinball after Medieval Madness, Attack from Mars & Monster Bash, CCR is sure to be a hit!
New features are said to include redrawn High Definition Animated Dots on a large LCD display, Enhanced Playfield Toys, RGB Lighting Effects & an Interactive Topper!”
It's definitely coming soon. Question is, will it be revealed before expo for customers to order, or are they going to wait until later this fall maybe sometime in November. I need more patience!
I could see it going both ways, it could be 3 weeks from now or it could be next summer. I'm looking forward to this pin so much!
Quoted from kempsuk:So, no classic edition, just SE/LE right??
Any hunches on cost for SE/LE?
Nobody has any real information. CCG is really doing a good job with their secrets.
Quoted from kempsuk:I remember buying my AFMr LE (which I still regret selling btw ) for $8k.
The current thinking around here is that the LE will be 10k to 11k range. Just a guess but that would be in line with Stern and JJP.
Quoted from kempsuk:So, $8-9k for the SE I’m guessing.
Not sure I have any real interest in this Pin, but maybe kinda cool to play at home for 6 months.
I have a MMr (love it), owned an AFMr LE (as mentioned regret selling), and had a MBr SE for 3-4 months (which I don’t miss at all).
Will I like CCr based on the above?? Never really played CC.
I really like the western theme so it will be perfect for us. Kinda looks like a fan layout?
Quoted from Damonator:I’m *guessing* the full reveal will be at Expo in 2 weeks. The real question will be whether they have playable games there or not.
That's what I'm hoping. This wait is agonizing!
Quoted from HomerEBW:According to the event plans at Expo, the reveal sounds like it will be Friday @ 3:00pm entitled “What’s happening over at Chicago Gaming”.
That title is so generic though. They might just give the same presentation they did in August.
Quoted from LTG:I wouldn't listen to that. He didn't even get Scientific Games right.
LTG : )
Yea I always take what he says very lightly at best.
Quoted from Concretehardt:The real question here is will we see the game before this thread hits 1000 posts?
Yes... in 5 days
Quoted from kapaun:I’ve been waiting and saving several years, intending to purchase this or a bargain Indiana Jones (lol) as my first pin. Hoping for news soon before I find a more conservative use for the money. The suspense is very real!
Buy a CCR!
4 days to go...
Quoted from Mikespinball:I also had a custom air brushed t-shirt made.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Nice shirts! CGC should offer some CCR shirts.
Hey LTG,
Would this work or be needed for CCR?
https://pinnovators.myshopify.com/products/pinsub-multi-system-kit
Or do CGC games come with external connectors for a sub?
Anyone see the pin on Wednesday or Thursday please post here! I'm assuming right now we'll see something more during the Friday presentation.
Going to be very deflating if this is just another of the same type of presentation as last time and another 4-6 week timeline. This is a roller coaster. It was cool to see Godzilla and Valhalla released recently but I'm itching for CCR.
I wake up hoping for good news everyday. So far nothing. The only rumor I heard was that they might not be showing it at expo this year. Really hope that isn't true.
Quoted from Only_Pinball:Will be crazy if they don't but I think this may come to pass.
Yea, I'm losing hope. I think it will be a cookie cutter presentation again. I hope they at least reveal pricing and when distributors can start taking orders. Maybe some pics?
I just remember a couple years ago the Wonka reveal at MGC. It was so fun. There was a presentation followed by them pulling off the covers hiding the games. I think a big game reveal at a show is perfect.
Quoted from pch3727:I'm pretty new to pinball and not aware how all the various manufacturers work. Does CGC usually produce a game for awhile after release? Or is the window pretty small to get an order in, similar to Spooky's pre-order? I'm aware the limited editions will go fast but am more curious about standard editions.
I would be surprised if you had a hard time getting any models below an LE. At least for the subsequent months after release. If you wait a year then who knows with the parts shortages.
Quoted from pch3727:Thanks, that helps. Didn't know if I needed to be by the computer as soon as they officially announce CC. Looking forward to this and future remakes.
I know when MMR, AFM and MBR were all being manufactured they were easy to get for years. But things are a bit different now with the supply chain issues (and inflation). I think you can still get new MBRs if I'm not mistaken. You might want to try and get one sooner than later though just to be safe.
Quoted from JSC:Pinballstar just changed its banner to cactus canyon on Facebook…hopefully that means full announcement imminent.
Yea I just saw that. Now I'm going back up the roller coaster and becoming more optimistic again.
Quoted from Goyomex:Any news from the Expo and this presentation? Should be over by now, right?
[quoted image]
It's on Friday. Today is Thursday.
Quoted from Vino:Please… no…slide show …
Lets see the game!
Yes! Just pull off the cover and unveil it.
Quoted from Swoods5688:Looks like they are setting something up in the cgc booth
[quoted image]
A classic version?
Quoted from polishedball:Did they mention what besides the topper and arch are different on the SE? I thought he said something about the train tracks, does this mean no train?
Yea, I was wondering about that too?
Quoted from Concretehardt:All i got was a screen grab from the teaser video, I believe Ryan said it was made out of solid wood.
[quoted image]
That is so freaking cool!!!
Quoted from pcprogrammer:CCR Classic Edition = $8,000
CCR Special Edition = $9,500
CCR Limited Edition = $11,000
Just a guess...
Wow was I wrong!
I decided I wasn't going to order through Joe because I'm supposed to have a spot elsewhere but I wanted to see if was even possible. Wondering if there was a glitch on PayPal's end with the quantity because I clicked on the 1k deposit within 1 second of getting the email and the PayPal page said "Sold Out". I was already logged into PayPal also. Crazy times! I'm not in panic mode yet because I'm on the "list" elsewhere but I don't feel secure until the down payment is paid through the distro. I was assured my spot was secured.
Quoted from dawasa:Problem is there are people buying LE of any game just to resell for a profit. Chicago gaming should have produced a higher number of LEs in light of this. Also no games or spots should have been sold until today.
There is an argument both ways of course because a smaller number of LEs means they are more rare and have a higher chance of going up in value as a result. So people want a more reasonable run of LEs so their LE feels more limited. But... I tend to agree with you now, just make 2K or 3K of them and give everyone a chance at one. I, for one, am not as concerned about rarity or collectability or whether I can flip it for a big markup. I've just been wanting the LE of this game since it was rumored to be coming.
Quoted from jfh:Doesn’t PPS review orders to prevent this? Or is that not done any more?
I emailed PPS to be taken off the LE list immediately after I got my order confirmation.
I’m sure there are flippers on this (like every other title) but all of the manufacturers need to step up and implement controls so nobody can buy multiple limited number editions (at least in the first 30 or 60 days).
Did you end up getting one through Joe from the email sent at noon?
Quoted from Vino:The BOTS have taken over pinball!!!!
That's what I'm wondering also, I clicked on it one second after the email hit my inbox and it was sold out. Also think about the time it takes to send out all the emails, even with automated systems doing it automatically there is a delay.
Quoted from sizzler747:People on here said it was sold out within 5 seconds.
I was so fast to click I would say within 2 seconds they were gone. I had PayPal already logged in.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Trying to get an LE.
Sold out everywhere?
At this point most likely, it will be tough to find one. People are saying that there will be some dropping off lists, etc but that wouldn't matter because it would just go down the line to the next person on the list.
Quoted from indypinhead:The same thing happened with me. Payment shows on my PP account, but I never received an email from paypal.....odd.
Check spam folder? I got the PayPal confirmation email. Maybe check your credit card and make sure the payment actually went through, it might still say pending.
Quoted from PinballGalore:Mirrored backglass is all I thought was missing from an LE. Great news.
What about those of us who purchased from official EU dealers? How would we be able to obtain one? Only ships Within the US? Direct to our home address abroad? Through the dealer in Europe? Thanks
That's awesome, didn't see that post. Anyone have an idea how much it will cost?
Quoted from PPS:The Cactus Canyon Mirrored Backglass will be available for ALL CCR Customers (1 per Customer). This was difficult to figure out so we kept it to PPS customers but CGC will be providing us a way to ensure it can be available for all CCR customers.
Planetary Pinball
So cool!
My prediction is some SEs slowly coming out mid to end of December. Then by next March/April the LEs will arrive. I'm happy to wait, excited to get this pin!
I'm buying it! It's going to be awesome! I don't care what anyone says. Love the theme and that's the most important part to me. I've had games that had great layouts, flow and code but I didn't like the theme so I got rid of it. From what I've seen, the layout looks pretty great to me, and we know the code will be amazing with Lyman.
Quoted from Luk3:Anyone know if the side interior panels will be available? Or if can still order a LE?
Realized what I didn't like about this one was the black sides until I saw the LE. Should be standard, imo.
There's only a few things that really make the LE limited and unique at this point, the art blades being one of them. I don't think they should or will make them available.
Quoted from Concretehardt:I’m excited to see the new OS on CCr and I would assume when they run MMr again it will be on the new systemas well. I can’t remember from the presentation but did they say the new system is no longer emulation of the code?
I thought they said the new run of MMR wouldn't be on the new system?
Quoted from explosiveegg:CGC seems to have delivered around 450 of the initial run of 500 SEs.
If they stick to their original plan, the first LEs should start coming of the line in a couple of weeks.
Nice. That would be much better than this fall. I'm trying to be patient, it's difficult LOL.
Quoted from PinballGalore:Some cactus talk was uploaded yesterday.
[quoted image]
I'm 16 minutes in and this is testing my patience. There is nothing more boring than listening to people talk about tournament play.
Quoted from polishedball:In my post above his I stated it was at the 26 minute mark
Thanks, didn't see that.
Quoted from Ferret:Many of us would disagree with this assertion.
Understood, I just find it boring.
Quoted from Damonator:CC has proven to be more popular than they anticipated. After 500+ SEs made, there is still zero stock at distributors. I would guess that the eventual total number of SE+ orders will be somewhere around 2500 which would put the total run up around 5k games.
That puts pressure on them to go straight to the next title as they will be lucky to finish CC by the end of 2023. Unless they add more capacity, I don't see how they could run MM in 2023.
There are 2 for sale that are in owners homes ready for pickup. I'm surprised they aren't sold yet.
