I can vouch for dts in that he isn’t into “douchebaggery” or flipping/scalping. He buys/sells/trades machines continuously as a hobby and not a source of income. There are plenty of others out there trying to take advantage of any and every limited release machine. By the way I’m locked in for an LE and will be posting it on the marketplace soon for at least $20k!!!! Sounds reasonable???

Meanwhile JJP caps their GNR LE production at 5,000 units for $10,500 with no topper at all. People buy them for the features and not the number plates at this point. I feel like the CCr topper mini game most likely won’t add anything to the overall gaming experience and possibly get annoying after a few rounds of it.

If you like Cactus Canyon gameplay and missed out on the LE then get an SE..it will be every bit as fun, you won’t be missing the topper while trying to bash the gunslinger drops. If the LE is a must have then take out a reverse mortgage on your home and grab the Vaseline to prepare yourself for the “scalpers”.

Anyone that supports the scalper market by paying their BS prices shall be considered an accomplice in the overall crime against pinball humanity. Support the manufacturer and your local distributors by settling for an SE before it’s too late. These are the people that deserve to make the profit…the ones putting in all the work. Please don’t pad the pockets of those looking to bend people over and hyper inflate the market value of all machines. Get an SE..don’t get robbed!!

I heard the SE+ are limited to 500 units…due to the global supply chain shortage of pineapples.

Dang I got downvoted…what happens next? A meaningless argument between two or more grown men through digital communication with nothing to gain on either side?? Sign me up!!!

#3676 2 years ago

If I remember correctly the only difference between the Classic edition and Special edition was the display size. The price hike for the bigger display on the SE was pretty substantial..especially when the cost difference between the two for the manufacturer was probably very small.

LTG does amazing tech support. He’s helped me fix my AFMrLE and Willy Wonka. Needs to start his own YouTube channel for us DIYers…aka “Destroy It Yourselfers”. Hopefully CCrLE will not require his assistance.

Someone that knew Lyman well and how his thought process works will hopefully guide this code enhancement to completion. It would be huge disservice to both Lyman and the entire pinball world for it to waste away on a hard drive somewhere. As long as someone knows his computer password.

Definitely never selling my Metallica, AFMrLE, BM66.

I heard the best way to keep your playfield from dimpling….don’t play a single game on it. MB playfields get dimpled more than other CGC games because of Frank’s feet popping the ball up in the air. It’s not worth trying to avoid. Just play the game and it will still be worth more than you paid for it when you get tired of owning it.

Chipping on the other hand is a completely different issue.

I’ve got a $1,000 deposit down on both CCrLE and Alien LV with two holes in my lineup for both of them to fill. You want to wait forever for a machine then call up Cointaker and get on the list for a Big Lebowski or Alien. You’ll see real quick what a strokefest it is to buy a game these days. Apparently there is a container full of Alien machines sitting in a port somewhere on the east coast that for some mysterious reason nobody can access.

Want to avoid BS delays from overseas shipping…buy an American Made machine. I personally don’t care how long any machine takes to acquire as long as the final product quality was worth it. Anyone complaining about CGC in general has probably not owned one of their games. CGC hasn’t given you an update??? Where was that clause in your purchase agreement?? Get your money back and or find a new hobby.

Here’s a fun activity for everyone to try while we all wait for our machines.

Search local dive bars as far and wide as you can for the most neglected, improperly set up, dirty, dimly lit, weak flippered, boat anchor of a machine. Play it as much as you can stomach even with it’s shallow code, horrible callouts, most importantly no topper of course. Pretend this is your only machine, all you have to look forward to in your entire life of pinball.

Appreciate what you have or soon will. I’m not sure where the entitled mentality comes from. Take a vacation to an underprivileged country…when are they getting their LE’s in Zimbabwe? I demand an update!!!! Psssshhh.

I’m just gonna head down to the local barcade and put all the wear and tear of learning the rules onto someone else’s playfield. Other than the fact whoever sets up the machines apparently doesn’t own a level or know what pitch means, the SEs play great for 50 cents a game.
